Shark Ion Robot Vacuum Cleaning System Review and Demo

Hi Guys, today I’m reviewing the Shark Ion Robot Vacuum. LINK to Shark Ion Robot: amzn.to/2yJe8VV Model RV851WV Shark comes with a lithium ion battery that’s already installed. It has to be fully charged before using. Put the charging dock with it’s back against a wall, the robot should be able to get to the dock without anything in it’s way- 5 feet in the front and 3 feet on the sides. Plug in the charging adapter. The power button is on the side, turn it on. The robot beeps when it starts charging. 3 blue led lights will cycle until charging is finished. 1 flashing light means low charge, 1 solid light means mid charge, 2 lights means nearly full and 3 lights means fully charged. When the cleaning cycle is finished or when battery is low, robot will find its way back to the charging station.
Cordfree handheld vacuum comes with crevice tool and multi-surface pet tool. Put it into the charging dock, it also has to be fully charged before use. Takes 2.5 hours.
Should be discharged fully first to properly condition the battery.

Sharon 82 - just started stopping, dock, then turned itself off. kids got it for me over 2 yrs ago. read the comments, pulled the wheels off, and there was a bunch of stuff packed around the wheels. cleaned it all out, trial run right now. I would die if I didn't have this robot.

If it gets stuck and you’re not there, does it stop or does it continue to try and free itself until it runs out of power? I’m glad the hair doesn’t get stuck on the roller brush.

If it gets really stuck, it will only try to dig its way out for a few seconds before stopping and transmitting an audible alarm. It will eventually turn itself off completely if you don't rescue it. It will also send an alert to your phone if you have the one with wifi and app controls. I've had mine for a couple of weeks and I love it. I have 2100 SF of hard surface flooring and a big shedding dog, so it usually gets run twice a day.

I was reading comments on other videos and apparently any vacuum that uses the magnetic strips won't go over electrical wires in the floor, thinking that they are the magnetic strips.

Good modern technology! I would ask people to watch a very old episode on You Tube of Science Fiction Theater. It is called Time Is Just A Place. Shark hooked you up! I purchased this device for myself for Christmas. It didn't come with all those other wonderful accessories / tools. Yours shot across the floor. Mine doesn't moved that quickly 😒 I also have a smaller home 1400 Sq Ft. I only run the robot on the tile and hardwood so that leaves 3 bedrooms for my actual Shark lift away. My battery runs out quickly and it's making a noise that sounds as if the motor is failing 😔 May need to do an exchange - Not a return. I love this little piece of happiness 😊

Its standing if front of the dock of course it will find the dock..put it in another room and press that button and see if it goes back lol Thats why you can never compare them to roborock s5 or max

I just bought one of These .. i have to say I'm not overly impressed. I've never owned one but using it for few days now I'm thinking they are all about the hype . Although it definitely picks up the debris and works well it doesn't seem to give the room full coverage, it's constantly moving to the same Area thus me having to use My regular vacuum after running the shark for over an hour ..I vacuum twice a day thought this would help Out but i still have to use a regular vacuum and this machine doesn't get against the walls and in the corners . I'm extremely disappointed and I'm not speaking of this brand particularly as ive never owned one and have nothing to compare it to , I think the issue would be the same for all robot vacuums

I have this robot and it's very frustrating when it constantly bumps into furniture and turns around. To use at a table & chairs you would have to remove the chairs, at least, to have it run smoothly. It's all over the place so you don't know how much area it has gone over unless you watch it. There are rubber strips that you can place around an area to be cleaned that the robot won't go over but I have to move them so often. So what's the sense? I'll stay with my upright vacuum.

Well. I'm considering buy one even when I have a regular vacuum because I have birds and they are too messy. If I want to keep the floor around the cage clean I need to clean the floor at least twice a day. I'm a single home, I work and I have important things to do. This robot can vacuum my house even if I'm cooking, working, or having playing with my daughters. This vacuum is excellent for busy people like me. Did I answer your question?

A robot vacumn doesn't make someone lazy. I work 60 hours a WEEK and don't have time to clean my house as much as I'd like. It makes some people's lives easier. Doesn't make someone lazy.
