when in bali go to padma or echo beach they are both fun sandbars where you wont get cur wbu if you want to surf a fun wave go to bingin if you get off the island go to lombock and then to desert island its a barell left that is one of the best in the world. and if you go to simbawa go to lakey peak its a fun wave that barrels too.

some begginer places are kuta uluwatu and echo beach. uluwaatu is a long left but watch out for the huge cliff. last year i went and was 100 meters from it! so watch out

....If you could stay with Ryan for a week or two, and charge a few select local breaks around his hometown, you would paddle into the Island, ace the takeoff ( is pretty much a perfect righthander in many ways from there. [ ie: after making the takeoff..], and proceed to draw a perfect line, as the wave itself bowls down the line, thinking something solely along the lines of: "....These barrels are gonna be (fkn) wicked..!!!....". ...And, no longer feel anything but stoked....:)

I think the broken backs were had on lefts, 4 foot is a good size to start with a more south swell direction is not so intimidating, I started on the boog there and been riding on the stick at 3-4 ft, east swells best for mean barrels at surge section. Just go out and have a crack bro you'll be alright
