Alot of ppl are not acknowledging that there are far more sharks in the ocean right now than there were 20 or 30 years ago. They've only been protected for 60 years or less in most areas. They are finally rebounding.. the more I fish in the ocean the less I swim in the icean

I have been spearfishing there many times and even came face to face with a few very large blue Gropers bigger than me once, absolutely crapped myself as they emerged out of the merky distance till I realized what they were. Also came across a huge Manta Ray and a large hammerhead shark beautiful but scary when you first see them 😊❤️

Lmao just had a seal scare me up here in New Jersey 3 days ago. Different for me in my case it didn't look like a fin but rather, as I was popping up from duck diving a wave, a whole ass furry face was just staring at me and being the only one in the water instincts just made me paddle right to shore thinking about what could be after it! Also for the split second before I realised it was a seal, being mainly used to fishies dolphins and lil sandbar sharks, the fact that a distinguishable face was staring at me when I thought i was alone was trippy/scary haha

@@jetspearo It was an amazing experience! After the mini heart attack and getting to shore I was watching him play around on the sandbar for a few minutes before he scooted off, was really cool. Didn't seem to be running from anything but I didn't want to take chances staying out there alone!

Love seals(water dogs). Problem I had when spearfishing off Hawaii years ago was the knowledge that sharks hit you from behind or below or from the side so its hard to cover all sides and worrisome.
