Great review. I couldn't figure out how to get my foam filter out, but watching this, now i know . I was trying to pry the whole thing (grey holder that it rests in) out, and glad I watched this before I destroyed the whole thing. (Obviously, I am not mechanically inclined). I did check the manual, and unfortunately, it is not clear about how to remove the foam filter. And I agree, I love this vacuum-the cordless feature is awesome., as is the rounded handle and swivel feature. I still use my Dyson for my bigger area rugs, but I love being able to whip this thing out and clean up the tile and hardwood floors in my other rooms lickity split! Thanks for the great review. Just needs some editing-all the rocking made me a little seasick.

Thank you so much for your video. I bought one for $2 at a thrift store and thought it didn't work but it was just clogged. I pushed that button you said released the body from the motor, cleaned up the clog and good as new.

I bought this vacuum yesterday. I have not received it yet. I need it for linoleum floors. I have dogs and need to vacuum often. I did not realize the brush does not turn off since the description says it is optimized for carpet and bare floors with settings. I am hoping it will work for me. Shark has come up in quality exponentially. I did extensive research on Amazon reading all the reviews of cordless vacuums. Shark had some of the highest reviews. I also bought it from Walmart and paid the extra $8 for 2 year warranty. Plus its Walmart, I can always return it. I think at this time, 2015, Shark is in direct competition with Dyson, only half the price. We will see what the future brings! Thanks for the video.

Question, where did you find the one with the LED headlights. All new ones (SV1106) do not have them. Best of all called SHARK and they claimed they never made a Navigator Freestyle with LED headlights. I told them to watch your video. If you could provide the model / where you got it that would be great. Thanks.

I agree about lack of promotions they have 2 models & i came across both by accident. I'm trying 2 decide between this the navigator sv1106 & the shark rotator sv1110 also cordless. I thought this was the newer version, but now i see your video date & i'm not so sure? But your video was thorough so now i just need 2 find video on Sv1110 . Thanxx so much. BTW lots of 1988 Hyundai Excels still on the road & Dyson wan't 1st to do drop open bottom to empty dirt cup. I think it may have been Shark, EuroPro or Hoover. But still thanks for such detailed review I like to look & lites on this model- I'll leave comment here about the rotator after i see it in action. Lisa

Thank you so much Bobby I was trying to figure bought the. Navigator was not turning on I was about ton purchase an expensive battery pack then you showed me there is a docking station I got a friend give me two navigator I guess they forgot to give docking station. Do you know where I can get this? Omy I’m a mess with all this 😂

Thanks for this, mate! One question though- it appears to be very noisy in the video. Doesn't the noise reach the neighbours? (I know the person vacuuming can just put in earplugs to protect themselves from the noise).

Thanks for sharing--a very informative video! And to the "motion sickness" whiners, I'd say: "Take some Dramamine" and be thankful someone was willing to go to the trouble of making a video to help the rest of us.

Don't count on it! I have 2 the first one like this lasted a couple of years before it didn't want to charge good. The second is the one with the lights (which I love) and it didn't even last a year before it won't charge most of the time.

It’s too Bad the New Sharks are Not like this anymore. Now you can Not simply replace the belt, Shark Forces you to buy a replacement vacuum head which is around $100 and it’s NOT Worth it!

Spamnot Nospam I guess that makes some level of sense, but considering that the Shark products are getting much better as you said, it's not really that shocking. But your review did shed some light on a few things (and you did a much better job with it than many other reviews which I've seen - some are much more biased in advertising for their own product, but this isn't your product {by which I simply mean - you're not the owner of Shark Co.}, and you showed us a lot of it - the product - ) - anyway, you did shed some light on a few things; such as, most of the different functions and features of the product. I now know (with some other research as well) some of the standard of quality of how good the product is - that it is good, but that I can still buy a better vacuum for less money. So, thanks for the help. :)

decent video (if you like motion sickness). You whine about the foam filter showing DIRT?!!! Wouldn't you be a little suspect if it was lily-white after you vacuumed. sheesh........

Who doesn't love motion sickness? :o) of course the filter should still be white if you understand the principle of cyclonic dirt separation... that's kind of the point... sheesh.... (btw, how many videos have you made in an effort to help others? just curious)
