If they are wrong, they don't mind because on that day, they made a good assessment of that person. "Hoping" that person's life improves isn't a factor because today it is bad.

So basically she played it big and risky enough that she had built up her inventory just to wait for the moment the episode was aired. The show literally did a great marketing job which won her big dollars after a night. Regarding this deal, I heard that after this pitch, the deal did not go thru (just rumor tho).

Only about 20% of the people who audition go on air. And even the ones who make a deal behind closed doors get to renegotiate and find out more about them before they choose to invest.. this is normal.. so not all these deals on show actually close.. some do..

SAINT 65 /Mr. Pedantic - oh my, I guess you didn’t really watch this episode. Her presentation pitch on Shark Tank was about a single product - Koja, a food topper with which she was seeking the investment. Only later, well after the episode did she add other products. I looked at her outside consulting job at roughly 2 hours a day as a means to live on, not something that took her away from her passion. The problem I saw was she was at a make or break point & the vast majority of entrepreneurs end up dying off. However, she kept at it & succeeded but all of that happened AFTER this episode.
