Same here! He was always my favourite character ever since I was a kid, and he’s the main reason I revisit the movie and why I cannot completely hate it. That scene where he overhears his mourning father say hurtful things about him just hits me. That look of deep hurtful sadness in his eyes just breaks my heart so much that not only did I want to reach into the screen and give him a hug, but also one time that part might’ve actually made me cry, just a little bit. And that scene near the end when he gets a hug from his dad telling him that he loves him is such a sweet moment. Just the way he looked so happy it’s so beautiful you can tell that was all he ever wanted. Plus Jack Black does a nice job bringing him to life, (to think this was before he was Po not to mention this was yet another time he made his voice sound different 19 years before he deepened his voice as Bowser (and of course had people in stitches when he sang the Peaches song)) I think Lenny should’ve been the protagonist, but hey at least his voice actor got the spotlight from DreamWorks a few years later

Lenny is one of my favorite characters in the movie, and he is the most adorable great white shark I have ever seen and he is so kind and friendly. Oscar is one of my favorite characters in the movie too, and he is so hilarious and he makes he crack up so hard, and even though Oscar can be selfish and make impulsive decisions, he is still a good person and his willing do the right thing no matter what. Also, this is one of my favorite parts in the movie when Oscar and Lenny meet again :)

But I loved the creativity of this film where the fish in the ocean live in their very own metropolis world. Such a good idea and the story of course is great showing how lying might get you far in the short run, but in the long run it'll change and ruin you. It also shows that Fathers should respect their children for who they are as Oscar says in the story everyone loves Lenny the way He is. Why can't His father?

@@kindnessark8064 I believe Shark Tale came out one year later ;) I don't understand people saying it's a copy. The only thing both films have in common is that they take place under the sea. But they've got totally different stories, totally different characters, totally different vibes. I remember it was the same with The Book of Life and Coco, the latter being accused of stealing the motif of Dia de los Muertos. It's silly 'cause there are tons of Christmas/Halloween movies. Agreed, the message of Shark Tale was really powerful and it's still so relevant.
