I have been looking at the Dyson Gen5outsize for about 500 dollars more. After researching the Shark from this video and also watching this video, I am beginning to think that the Shark is actually better for half the price. I guess that extra 500 dollars for the Dyson pays for their marketing cost.

@@chrisdglongI haven’t tried the Dyson Gen5outsize so I can’t compare them but I do really love the shark Powerdetect vacuums, they are super powerful and pick up everything really well. But I am a big fan of Dyson vacuums as well.

@@chrisdglongdo not get they dyson, we had a gen 5 detect and was replaced under warranty after a few weeks as the cyclone gasket perished, the replacement did the same and they made every excuse not to replace it. Also the wheels came off the floor head which again was constantly out of stock apparently

Wish you would have taken it apart and checked the filters after using it for a while. I’ve heard the filters in the vacuum AND the base get dirty/clogged quickly. Is that the case for yours?

@@zacharydenning5829 I haven’t noticed them getting any dirtier than any other filter. The filters are easy to clean though. Sorry I didn’t take it apart, I’ll try to add that in the video in the future 😊

@@MeganGutierrez-n1n it doesn’t let me add to the video but it’s the square that goes around the battery symbol. As you use the battery there are four corners of a square and one will go away, and as you charge all four corners will be there. Hopefully that makes sense 😊

@@Michikox27 it isn’t overly loud. But it does have a powerful motor so it isn’t quiet either. I would say it is about average in the sound department 😊
