What an underrated band! Fantastic lineup.

still have their 2 LPs. Spedding's guitar work was so economical, but also so elegant.

I haven't heard this for mearly 40 years. That was when Janet Phillips and I broke up, and she kept half of my LPs. This was one of them......jeez...Time flies.

Such a simple tune that's brilliantly performed. Glad I "discovered'" it. I always tell people good music has no expiration date.

I can't remember the year but I saw them live Elon College gymnasium in North Carolina. They open for Mountain. Both bands were phenomenal. I had a couple of copies jab it in your eye through the years The Years on vinyl. The Sharks a great band and absolutely wonderful in concert. I had a lot respect for Busta Cherry on bass...

Mister Snips!!! I saw these guys in the early 70s. They opened up for Mott the Hoople (I think) Anyway, what a great band! Snips was so good! He gave Rod Stewart a run for the money, that's for sure. Too bad he's no longer around. What a talent! I miss that voice. You don't hear voices like that these days.

These guys definitely had their own sound. Chris Spedding's guitar playing seems almost sparse, but that's what makes it so good. It's like he plays no more notes than he has to.

where do you think the clash got the riff for should i stay or should i go???
@decristo102112 жыл бұрын
@pablodeluap That's something I think about probably at least every hour of every day....why doesn't music sound like this anymore? The only answer I can really think of that times change, people change, and what is cutting edge becomes conservative, dad rock. Me, I can listen to recycled Stones riffs until the minute I die...

Chris Spedding is not really known in the US...the only reason I ever knew his name is that he produced the Pistols, and I believe he was almost in the Stones when Taylor left...I youtubed Motorbikin' and thought, would a killer song...I obviously have a lot of catching up to do...

They did release a third album, "Like a Black Van Parked on a Dark Curve" in 1995 -- Spedding and Snips plus three new people. Sadly it's pretty poor compared to the first two albums.
