I think what they didn't realize, this was more than a simple plush toy. It was both a plush + scrub toy for children, any parent would be willing to pay $20 for a good plush. They had so many avenues to take this, amusement parks, etc. build up a collab with famous cartoons, etc. They had a TON of growth, and glad to see that they're doing well now. I do think they also underestimated that a parent will spend $20 for their baby, it's a baby product.

Wow, before liquid soap my granny used to sew a face washer in half and put all the small bits of unused soap into it to use in the shower. In my opinion it’s worth the price of 19,99. That’s even cheap. You also have to pay the labour who produce it. 3$ is literally nothing to produce it but selling it with such huge margin is next level.
