The thing is starbucks and ccd sell arabica coffee which is good for health and you can use this coffee seeds in 100% quantity while robusta coffee is not good for health thats why in robusta they add chikori and the coffee content becomes less and then this coffee is neutralised. Reason of price difference is that arabica is more costly than robusta.

I have to disagree with Anupam. Yes brands like Starbucks and Costa are selling a lifestyle, but there is still a huge section that cannot afford it but still want that experience. Especially for students, they do not have an income. Therefore, young people might go to such an outlet just to hangout and have a good time. I am from Pune and have visited Kiosk couple of times, the coffee is fyn..but I'd still prefer other options like Barista or Coffee Nation for hangout. Problem with Kiosk is their modus operandi.. 50 outlets within 3 years, whereas in actuality figures show the business to be unsustainable. The pitcher was in La La Land about 80K returns to franchise owners, whereas in depth calculation reveal the income to be around 30K. Now I have heard that the picthers have a very strong financial background..so money is not a issue to them. However, if a Franchise Owner is paying 12 Lacs & investing entire time in the business and still only getting 3.5 Lacs p.a. then it is a no brainer to stay away from such business ideas.. As pointed out by sharks one can simply put the money in bank and expect guaranteed yearly return of 1 Lac without investing any time or energy that is required to manage the business. So my message to all youngsters out there..think twice and dig deep before venturing into a franchise business!! PS- I do support fellow businessmen from Pune..but feel ki inki shwobaazi zyada he aur business idea kam :)
