I think the Arsenal and Liverpool game was one of the most balanced games i’ve seen in a long while, both teams scored from a set piece and a ball over the top in behind from a right back then other than that neither team had great chances to score. Then in the first half arsenal had alot more of the ball and were dominating then in the second half liverpool dominated, it was so even. I think a draw was the best outcome like neither team deserved to win and if either team lost they’d feel they were unlucky

@ some of them yes but this didn’t have the intensity. Any game klopp played in would go one of 2 ways, the other team would sit back and we’d pass around their box or they’d try and match our press and it would be non stop action and great football, obviously pep wasn’t gonna concede possession in a game so that often meant they’d go toe to toe. Slot is happy to keep the ball and be more patient or let the other team play around the back until the right moment to press so there was periods where it was dead but when the intensity was there it’s comparable yes

@ i disagree i think both teams played to an equal level, the best proof of this is that after we equalised we were still the team who looked most like scoring, if we were struggling we would’ve sat back but we went to win. First half arsenal were better and i think the score line was fair then same for the second half we were the better team and deserved to win that half

Liban shows that he has 0 ball knowledge. No matter how bad injuries/circumstances are, you cannot have the season and performances that Ten Hag had last season. They received 2nd most shots in the whole league, expected to finish around 15th based on stats, negative goal difference and so many other underlying numbers that show how bad we were. Even if you hate stats, eye test wise we played HORRIBLY and can never control a game as a top 6 club. And even results wise we finished 8th (which is also us overperforming our expected position by the way).

Liverpools midfield struggled before szoboszlai came on because of the balance, all season we’ve played with 2 sitters and a 10 then this game was played curtis instead of szoboszlai so it was more flat and it was a change, curtis’ instinct is to come get the ball off the centre backs so when he does that there’s a gap and off the ball the press his instinct made him run back and protect the back instead of pressing the centre backs like the 10 has done all season. As soon as szoboszlai came on i wouldn’t even say he played great but his movement was perfect and it made space for others
