I watched this with my family while having breakfast and I feel my daughter's hope for her future. Such a shame that she is 9 months short of legal age. But here's my secret, the atmosphere at home is much fresher since we all joined forces. I was an Isko admirer until she changed me and I am proud of changing my mind for her. I casually ask my younger colleagues, who they are voting for. They say the name of their choice and when asked why, their answer was no surprise : "Sabi kasi ng Papa ko", "Dati na kasi kaming supporter ang clan ko ng family nila", Dun kasi ang roots namin", etc... OLDSCHOOL NA YAN, TRAPO STARTS IN THE FAMILY AFTERALL... As dads and moms, we all have our share of parenting issues, generation gap, millennial misunderstanding episodes... Did you ever feel na ang hirap intindihin ng kabataan ngayon? Have you ever uttered, "hindi naman kami ganyan noon" or "bakit ganyan kayo ngayon?" Often times, we cannot just say "do this, do that" because that will just complicate matters. How do we cope? We meet in the middle. We converse. We agree. In this coming election, let's do things differently... Instead of us telling our kids who to support, let us ask them who they want us to support for their future... Yes, iba na talaga ang panahon ngayon... Mas matalino na ang kabataan ngayon. Mas may kamalayan. Kaso maraming kulang pa sa gulang...
