Miss Sharon Jones is Tina Turner and James Brown in ONE. For me this is the best live of this band.

Thank you for posting this. I will always be sad to lose Sharon Jones, a true gift to the world. We are so lucky that she shared her blessed gifts with us! Was lucky to have danced with her twice onstage, twice more in the dancing audience that surrounded her and met her again after watching her amazing documentary open in LA this past summer. Sharon is such an amazing woman.

Thank you so much for uploading this. Absolutely fantastic band. Gotta love a authentic recording of a gig like this. No light-show no smoke machines and all that nonsense. Just good musicians who are totally into their music.

Words cannot express the sadness we feel. So glad indeed we had to know her and the band and we had the privilige to welcome them so many times. Rest in peace dear Sharon. X

So sad to hear of this, I really thought they were among the very best of the "modern era" of funk & soul, and that voice.. She was just amazing. Few bands these days can sound so spot on as they did. Gonna miss Mrs. Jones and the fellas.
@MusicandmoreNl0788 жыл бұрын
The fellas won't stop making music luckily. The keep releasing quality soul, funk, afrobeat and reggae stuff via Daptone Records, Big Crown Records and Dunham Records

@@gedfunk Thank you! I’ve never heard Little Royal before. Love em so far. I agree on the video. One of the best in my opinion too.

@@seanlewis9794 no problem! I saw them in the US back in 2005 and I remember them playing this at that show too, it’s such a hype track that it stood out for me, and I remember it taking me a few years to figure it out (before the days of Shazam and Spotify).
