My club goers knew the hot open version of this song, but when this remix came out the club flipped out at first to hear the slow open build up until they recognized it was Sharon Redd then the place would always go crazy! This helped clear the floor briefly and sold lots of liquor too!

This is a great mix of a truly powerful and unforgettable song. It's driving baseline is, I think, rather unique for its time - and, thankfully, this mix gives us more of it. I especially appreciate the role of the clapping, which is more prominent in this number than others, and the horns are outstanding. The minor keys are mesmerising.
