As a child, Sharon lived alone in a camp for people displaced by a brutal civil war in Uganda. Her parents and grandmother had died, so she had no one to care for her. Before coming to Children of the Nations, she had nowhere to sleep-her home in the camp was burned to the ground so the land could be used for farming. But when she came to us in 2008, her life changed forever. She had nutritious food to eat, the opportunity to get an education, and a safe and loving home. Sharon is now in her fourth year of university and is studying to become a lawyer. She wants to use her education to fight for human rights. Sharon’s life has been completely transformed.
