I personally can say that I want to listen to her music because I appreciate her humanity, she is down to earth as a person and it comes through in her art. Art is therapy for the artist but also for the person it is being presented to. All this on top of her simply amazing voice.

Lost count of the amount of times I youtube searched for an interview with an artist I like and found a long, in-depth and interesting one on FaceCulture. You absolutely rock.

I can say with certainty that this is the most intelligent interview session I've watched in a long time. I almost feel like it's something that I probably shouldn't have watched because the questions were actually thoughtful and the answers were very genuine & honest, even though I kind of felt like the journalist was prying. Personally, I'm kind of a private person, so I wouldn't have been as cooperative as SVE is here lol I know what she means by "why do people even like my music"...To answer this quickly, people get attached to songs that reflect something within themselves. I really love "Give Out" not because it's helping me get through something (just being honest here) but because I connect with the pain that's in the song. It's just something about it that hits me on a spiritual level, that may sound cliche, but it's true. Anyway, I saw her live, for the first time, almost a week ago & she puts on a really interesting show. It's like she's been playing for years and years...

I listen to you when I paint!!! I feel like i'm not the only person who feels alone! There's others out there like me! You know how to express it through music and poems and I express it through painting! I don't think I'm so good at it though, but your music in the background helps allot!

Great interview, the interviewer defiantly knows how to ask the questions, SVE's reaction to them, wonder and then maybe she'll get some mindfulness and therapy out of it. She seems like she opens up about a lot of things, and have good answers, and still it's personal and not bloated like so many other interviews with big stars.

@@beflygelt Sharon's songs resonate with me so much, i am also trying to be an artist, so the self theraputic shame aspect and the deep longing for something i don't know was spot on. Its like she is my sister or something. I guess that's why Lynch wanted her in the Return to perform. We are all similar people. Lynch, Sharon, Me and You maybe.... Strange.
