Hi Sharon I HOPE YOU ENJOY MY COMMENTS HERE! I started reading some of the other comments. I was having trouble finding the words to best convey my sentiment, but I shall give it a try now. IHMO-Good art conveys feeling to the viewers. IF the viewer FEELS THE ART- THATS WHEN THE MAGIC HAPPENS. I PERSONALLY FELT A VERY NOSTALGIC EMOTION, OF TIMES LONG PAST, AN INNOCENCE, OF YOUTH, WHEN THE BEAUTY IN NATURE REALLY FILLED YOU WITH WONDER & AWE. IT ALSO REMINDED ME OF MY GRANDPARENTS, THAT WERE BOTH MASTER GARDENERS - THEY GAVE ME A PROFOUND UNDERSTANDING & LOVE OF FEELING CONNECTED TO THE LAND AS A PART OF IT ALL AND THE CYCLE OF TIME MARKED BY THE CHANGE OF SEASONS, WHICH WAS ALSO TIED INTO THE RELIGIOUS CALENDAR. BLESSED AS A CHILD TO HAVE TWO SUCH WONDERFUL TEACHERS! I WISH I WOULD HAVE ASKED MORE QUESTIONS OF THEM BOTH ABOUT PLANTS AND SUCH OR ABOUT FOOD AND COOKING. MY GRANDMOTHER MADE WINE FOR THANKSGIVING AND SADLY I THINK HER METHOD HAS BEEN LOST TO TIME. I WAS VERY YOUNG. HOWEVER, I DO REMEMBER WATCHING HER MAKE THE WINE,THEN WATCHING AND WAITING WITH GREAT ANTICIPATION FOR THE BALLOON SHE PLACED OVERTHE MOUTH OF THE HUGE GLASS JUG - INFLATE,THEN DEFLATE, INDICATING THE WINE WAS NEARING THE DRINKABLE STATE. SHE LET ME HELP HER MAKE AMAZING DONUTS AND ICE BOX COOKIES TOO, MY JOB WAS TO ROLL THE DONUT HOLES IN CINNIMON AND SUGAR! EVERY GUEST SAT AND HAD FRESH COFFEE AND FRESH BAKED ICEBOX COOKIES WHILE THEY VISITED. MY GRANDPARENTS HAD A LOT OF VISITORS DUE TO THEIR HOSPITALITY- AND FRESH BAKED GOODS TOO, LOL! THEY FEED FOLKS FROM THERE HUGE GARDEN ALWAYS BRING OVER OR SENDING EVERYONE HOME WITH SOME FRESH PICKED PRODUCE OR FLOWERS!! TWO VERY WONDERFUL FOLKS AND DEARLY MISSED !

It really isn’t difficult. If you’re just starting out, take a few -tactics runs first. Whenever I am struggling with something I do studies to help me learn it. Like over on Instagram I was doing water studies, and snow landscape studies in gouache etc. Each time I do it it gets a bit better, and it begins to stick.

Wonderful tutorial,beautiful cards Sharon,I've been watching all your videos,thank you so much for bringing inspiration X Also your eye...to soothe,put used damp tea bags in a dish in your fridge..yes tea bags,then hold on your eye to bring soothing and healing from the tannin in the tea,before you apply any prescribed drops etc,I have worked over 36 years in medicine,so know this is safe,also wonderful for stings,bruises,or itching skin..try it!hope this helps,love and blessings Gabrielle in the UK xx

Oh dear, Sharon, I just realised that I watched this shortly after Mrs Four-Legs returned from Ohio on Wednesday and I completely forgot to leave a comment! Two very nice Christmas cards - with simple designs that nonetheless turned out very effectively. As you might imagine, our Floridiot Christmas cards have beaches, dolphins and palm trees - but I'll always feel that the snow & frosts that I left behind in England in 2006 more truly represent the traditional feel of Christmas weather. Thanks for the video and I hope that (1) you had a great Thanksgiving and (2) your eye is improving. All the best from down south, Brian.

Hi there...I just discovered you! I enjoyed watching your technique. I liked how you did the berries. Interesting. Lovely winter scene. I've only been using watercolor for about 9 months. I painted in oils for 11 years, mostly landscape. Then went on with something else. I had to adjust from going dark to light in oils and then white to dark in Watercolors. But you do that with colored pencils, which I like as well. I have given you a like and subscribed to your channel. I enjoyed what you had to say. Thank you very much.

I use an embossing gun. You can find them on Amazon. But be very careful because they are hot and will burn YoU and paper if you aren’t careful. They are meant for melting embossing powder

This year wind blew pinecones in my blueberries making a pretty arrangement to paint. There was also a vine in a near by blueberry bush that has red berries on it, it had sharp points on the vine. Had to pull it out of the blueberry bush. I hope it don't come back out from the roots. And there were white pine needles hung up in some of the bushes. And some magnolia leaves everywhere in the blueberry bushes. But 60 mph wind does amazing things to nature. This painting made me remember all the clean up I had to do where nature got mixed together into a beautiful still life. Loved this one. Thank you.

I don’t know where they are from. I can’t get to my studio right now to look for the company who made them. But I think I bought them at Michaels about 20 years ago! Michaels usually has an awesome selection.

No I really don’t. If you are near a Michaels, they sell tons of them. If not, go to websites like Stampin up etc and you’ll find plenty.
