Set audio to film mode for the best sound, which impressed me. Standard mode doesn't do the built in sound system justice. No need to hessitate buying this one. Edges look just fine with me and what freak stares at the edges of the screen anyway? I don't know, maybe I'm not nitpicky enough.

Kako moze RU8000 serija biti konkurent ovom TVu kada on kosta oko 400-425 evra a RU8000 je 650 evra? Znam i ja da je Samsung puno bolji ali onaj ko placa 400 evra obicno nije spreman dodati jos 50% vise za bolji TV. Jer kada krenes da dodajes dodjes do OLEDa i ne gledas ostalo. Sto ne preporucis nesto bolje za tih 400-425 evra ako ima? Za gejming (GTA i slicno) u istoj velicini. Jel bolji Xiaomi 4S 55, jel bolja Toshiba od 370 evra, jel bolji TCL 55 E660? Ili je to sve jedno te isto, izaslo sa istog pogona, sa malim razlikama?

Hi Danko, great review. I was considering Sharp BL for my bedroom but your comments on blur in moving pictures put me off. It would be great to have a review of "budget TV for bedroom", focusing on sound (as external system not practical) and and performance in low lighting. Any recommendations?

Hi Roberto, thanks for the comment! Which screen size are you interested in for a bedroom TV. My range would be 32 to 40/43 inches, but I’ve seen people placing 55” screens in their bedrooms so I must ask :).

Hey - in that case some LG TV in that price category with webOS would be a better choice. It's got better connectivity than Samsung TVs and better picture quality and processing than Sharp. Look for some 2019 models from the UM series on your market.

Samsung 43ru7412 in main room is w/out complaint and for now it is reference .40 inch is a must ,price till 350 eur. UHD or FHD smart one. Will Sharp 40bl5ea will do the job,you explained white color issues but can I get proper color of human face. Like midrange in hifi that is crucial for me in video! Thx,keep good work!

Hey Goran - for kid's room, this TV would be a good choice, the picture quality is fine for that purpose. But I remember from the past from on LG's leaflet that IPS screens are less sensitive to touching/poking compared to VA. I don't have any test report to confirm this, but I know that when you touch a VA panel it will flash in that area, and IPS would not. Clearly, some differences do exist between these panels, so think about that also.

Hi darko, I recently purchased the 50 inch version on this tv as it was on a really good offer. Can i ask some advice? I have noticed while watching tv shows that there is an auto dimming that constantly brightens and dims and no matter what i do i cant get it too stop an there seems to be no options in the settings menu? Hello. Thanks for your hard work. I didn't get it, does local dimming work in this model? HDR doesn't work? I need a 40-inch TV to use as a PC monitor and watch 4K movies and sometimes play games. I want the HDR to work well. Which model can you recommend in this price range, + -100 $?

Hey, definitely it is better better buy something from Samsung/Sony/Panasonic or LG (but with true RGB panel, not fake UHD with fake 2160p). For a monitor IPS panels are generally better due to color uniformity across the screen, but since you need it for movies, maybe better to go with a VA panel (that is usuallly on Samsung/some Sony TVs). Look for models within your budget then check displayspecifications.com to see which panel it uses and if there are some quality reviews available.

Hi Darko I'm thinking about buying a new TV for my bedroom. I need it for playing on my PS4 and watching Netflix / Disney +. I looked at different TVs like the Sharp 55BL5EA from this video, Samsung UE43RU7099UXZG and LG 43UM7050PLF. (All are between 300-400 CHF) I just want a good picture quality for gaming and an OS which has a good performance and which is up to date. Which of those TVs would you recommend to me? I have one of these TV's. With some colour tuning I like the picture. I agree with Darko's opinions about slow response though. The design with the elegant aluminum feet is appealing to me. Generally android works good but there are really curious issues when using the satellite receiver. I prefer to scan single frequencies to avoid getting loads of crap to be removed. However when going to manual tuning there is no way of actually entering the entered frequency. Therefore manual search does not work what is a pity. You can skip channels by ticking boxes in a list of 10 channels per page. Nice if the receiver scans about 2000 channels. Another curious issue is channels disappearing from the list when there is no signal. Also it does not work with my cable-TV smart card. My TV has reset itself a couple of times and at one time it has set itself into shop mode. The only way to get out of shop mode is a full reset of the tv where you loose all your setting. Out of the box the colour settings were totally ridiculous with reds brightness and contrast up to the max Support from Sharp is non-existant. It's a nice TV that could be so much better if they only cared.

Pozdrav Tomix - ja bih svakako radije uzeo TCL od Sharpa jer je na visoj razini po pitanju kvalitete slike. Kutovi gledanja ovise o panelu, a kako su u oba slucaja VA paneli kut gledanja nije idealan. Širi kut no niži kontrast imaju LG-jevi televizori i još poneki modeli drugih brandova, a to se može provjeriti na displayspecifications.com.

I have it. Think twice. Mine crashes a lot maybe due to lack of ram. Also software could be better. Buy yourself a tv with a better panel and then buy a mi box (which I have and love)

At the moment i have old sharp TV "www.cnet.com/products/sharp-lc-46xd1e-aquos-46-lcd-tv/" is it worth to upgrade to this model from review? Wondering only about smoothness during watching sport. Dont watch it very much but when i do i dont want to have "bad feelings". At the moment i think that my old Sharp is not great in this area too but we watch everything on it and its OK, so i should not see much difference in negative point of view when upgrade. 50' version we can buy in Poland for around 330 Euro, 55' around 370 Euro.

Dear Przemek, sure I can advise you - I would not recommend Sharp TVs next to so many much better models from Samsung, LG and other brands. I would definitely recommend that you get a 55" TV as that would be a visible upgrade over the existing 46".
