If I remember the dock workers usually call if they see an injured seal resting there, it’s kind of them. Although I’m sure it feels bad that they have no choice but to use single use plastics most of the time. Even where we have the choice not to we still do anyway :(

It's not only to free the seal, you have to collect the plastic so no other animal eats and swallow it. These harbor rescues are more difficult I think. Congratulations Antoine. Thank you team OCN for all that you do ❤

Wonderful rescue, Antoine. You were so patient, and that strap was tight on the seal so it wouldn't have been long before it did serious damage. I laughed at 'Don't fight, you are on television', and it sounded as if one of the seals was having a chuckle afterwards too😁. Thank you to Emilia for calling you when she sees that you are needed, and for everything she is doing for feral cats. I've loved cats all my life, but sadly no longer have one - I do enjoy seeing the cameo appearances of Naude and Katja's cats in the Q & As, though. Thank you so much, as ever, OCN❤

It’s both amazing and disturbing that those big guys are so comfortable around humans. Amazing because they aren’t being harassed or threatened in such an industrialized area. Disturbing because those are very powerful wild animals and people can’t be pretty dumb sometimes 😂
