I absolutely LOVE when the entanglement isn't too tight ... when there's no wound yet and when the pup is still chunky. Thanks, OCN HEROES, for your timely save. 💙

Has anyone seen what Boyan Slat and the Ocean Clean Up crew have achieved? It is mindblowing (and goes side by side with this fantastic organisation 👍)

Our efforts are just a drop in the bucket compared to the millions of tonnes of trash entering the world's oceans every year. We are unfortunately not solving the problem, but only treating the symptoms of the plastic crisis with our rescues. These videos aim to show the consequences of this pollution and create a change to tackle its roots - namely our addiction to single-use plastics, the lack of law enforcement at sea, and the shortcomings of the recycling industry.

We see healthy recaptures every single day, proof that seawater acts as a very efficient wound cleaner and that Cape fur seals are extremely resilient animals.

I know there’s a problem with pollution. I try my best to be as green as possible. But nothing compares to seeing the problem. You can hear about microplastics all day. But seeing the plastic literally tear through the flesh of these beautiful beings is devastating. What can I do to help? 🤔
