Sharp Manager for 80's Sharp Pocket Computers

Sharp Manager is an application for connecting some vintage Sharp pocket computers with your Windows desktop PC. It works together with an Arduino to connect the pocket computer to a USB port on your computer. With this hardware and software, Sharp Manager emulates a CE-126P cassette and printer interface and a sharp Sharp CE-140F floppy drive. This video demonstrates both the hardware and the software.

Good job! BTW, what is the value of the pull down resistors? I can decode the first 3 bands from the left as 472, but what is the multiplier value of the "gray/brown" band? (x100M ?) Thx!

I had something very similar but it had printout ability with very small register tape.

that only time at techical school when I did not get full points from electronics exam was because of damn pc-1401 calculate wrong at basic mode. I dont remember any more what was calculation but it was quite simple and it looked like rounding error.

Great job. I am a novice and cannot really figure out how you have wired your arduino to the pins. I tried to slow down the video, but you move your hand so quickly - it is all blurred. Maybe add a still image to the github page. Thanks

Hi Wayne! Would it be possible to port the Sharp Manager to Linux? Or have you tried to get it working under Wine? It is a very cool project. I just built the CE-140F emulator from Fabio Fumi and like it very much. Your project has a slightly different focus and i like the multi-functionality with CLOAD/CSAVE, the floppy functions and the print functions.
