In this video I will review and do multiple tests on the Sharp Projection Alarm Clock with Sleep Sounds that I got from Walmart. I think it's fantastic but not perfect. There are many things that I wish I could add to it. I know that Homedics also makes alarm clocks like this.

I greatly appreciated your tutorial/review. I just returned from Wal-Mart with this model. It was marked down $10.00 and I was thrilled until I opened the box and found no packaging or instructions so I knew it was returned and marked down. Thanks to your tutorial I learned how to set the time and keep the projector illuminated all night so I could surprise Mom with it already set up in her room for her birthday today. Couldn't have done it without your video. I will share one finding. Initially I was going to set it up with batteries only. I thought my clock was returned because it was broken as I found that when I long pressed the projector button it would no stay illuminated. Once I plugged it in the stronger power that was all it needed. I guess the batteries primary purpose is to keep the clock set to the correct time in the event of a power outage. Thanks again.

Thanks for the insight. This unit has been one of my favorite. As more people use their smartphones for alarms and time, these devices will lose some presence. But I'm a bit old school in this sense so I have several around the house. Thanks.

To switch between 12 or 24 hour time display, press the TIME button after time setup is complete.

I have this clock and the gradually the time is off example as of this writing it's 11:34 but the clock reads 11:17pm

Maybe you have the volume set to 1. If it's on 1, you probably won't hear it.

But how do u set for AM instead of PM?

As you increase the hour it will got past 12:00. Once it goes past 12:00 it will automatically move to the PM range. Once you cycle thru the PM range and reach 12:00 again, it will go back to the AM range. PM is indicated by an icon the says "PM" but AM is indicated by the absence of the "PM" icon.

@@SM-cn7ut When PM is gone, you are in AM. Keep clicking and you will go back to PM. It will cycle through AM and PM everytime you go past 12. When you don't see neither AM or PM, you are assumed to be in AM.

It will time out on battery power. You must connect it to the wall.

Backlight on my stopped

There are two possibilities that caused the backlight to go out. 1) You might have accidentally turned it off. Press the SNOOZE/DIMMER/SLEEP button to reactivate the backlight and change it's intensity. 2) You might have disconnected the power cord. If the power cord is disconnected, the unit will run on batteries but the backlight will not turn on. Look at 17:17 to see why the battery function will not power the backlight.
