Am stunthis tv does not output RGB straight to it’s own screen but outputs s-video instead,so instead it outputs RGB trough it’s multi out port,now while s-video is still good but i expected it to be the other way around.

I received the 21" version today, but there is only a red led, it won´t turn on, do you have any tips what to look out for?

I’ve got one of these with a similar issue, but I’m stumped on what could be the fix. I have perfect video on multi out but internal is a black screen but I have sound. I’ve replaced the encoder, all the capacitors on the sfc and the chassis, a few transistors, but no luck. Any ideas on what I could try next?
@LIRetroGaming Жыл бұрын
The sfc board probably has a cut trace for the luma and chroma signals that go to the tv instead of the multiout. I have seen that before on some Sharp sf1 TVs

Oh my god where did you get the isopropyl alcohol? I can't find any ANYWHERE

possible to get internal rgb instead of s-video?
@LIRetroGaming4 жыл бұрын
You can get rgb externally but I think the tv would need to be modified for internal rgb
@modology4 жыл бұрын
@@LIRetroGaming still not sure why they dont get internal rgb, i meant s-video is still not as good as rgb though
@LIRetroGaming4 жыл бұрын
Rgb would have definitely looked better than s-video, for sure. I guess I just don’t know how widespread RGB usage was in Japan. I’m sure that they had TV sets with JP-21 rgb ports, but I don’t know how common this was in a typical household in the 90s. Composite video was pretty widely used, so this is definitely a step up from that

if there is power input, can on/off, but there nothing on screen, is it easy to fix it?
@LIRetroGaming2 жыл бұрын
It’s really hard to know without looking at it. It probably needs new capacitors just like this one did at the least
