I use this same method but on the board only. My blades end up with a slight convex . After that I use a loaded hard leather strop. In my opinion this is the easiest and best way for making scandiVex blades . I just finished my new Tops Tanimboca Puukko which has a very blunt secondary bevel. I dont see how the reviewers of that knife never brought it up. I no longer trust certain knife channels for making purchases. That Tanimboca was horrible out of box...That said it is now excellent 😉 Very good video !

excellent tutorial on sharpening and I never new about using newspaper, thanks Harry-san

Thanks, Craig-san. A newspaper process will show you the difference when you tried to cut something sensitive.

Harry-san, you are a perfectionist. I appreciate this a lot as a german ... I really like it when someone is doing something in the right way from the beginning till the end. And - by the way - the gardening scenes are really beautiful. Your garden looks perfect. Thank you very much for your detailed and perfect video.

Thanks, Diderich-san. Something through the lens looks much better than the reality, maybe.haha. To be honest, I need to cut weeds soon.

Harry-san👍👍 Superbly done video showing your skills at sharpening knives by your way. Presentation of the science and physics was like the college course👌 The rubber/foam mat and fine grit paper is a stellar idea that I must try😉 as all I have is the whetstones of the Washita and Hard Arkansas types, and a few Naniwa water stones. Thank you for this video as I had ask you about this subject months ago😊 The results you obtained were perfectly shown and professional in all respects. Good to see you healthy and safe, hoping all in you family are the same😁 See you in the next one. Enjoy!

Thank you, Terry-san. I need some charts or drawings to explain what I want to tell because of my poor skills and vocabulary of English. You have a lot of decent whetstones. That's incredible! I can't afford those stones besides they will get damage on their surface if I tried to sharpen knives in convex. This method is very easy to have a convex edge on the blade so please try this. it won't cost you much, either. Yes, I remember your request and that gave me this idea. I appreciated that. Thank you for care about me and my family. I hope you and all of your surrounding is safe and well.

Thank you, Meat and Heat-san. This method is quite simple but works really well. Sharp edge knives cook good meals, right?
hello harry, i am sorry to bother you. can you please tell us what is the camera/lens used? it is very good and the image is better than a professional cooking show!

Hello, Francois-san. I'm sorry that I could not find your comment for a week. I have trouble with the KZbin notification system that doesn't notify me of incoming messages these months. Anyways, The Camera I have used these days is Canon EOS RP. It is a DSL full-size sensor camera but pretty much entry model. I chose it because this is the only camera that can control everything on the touch screen that faces me at blogging. Lenses are all cheap. Canon F1.8 50 mm, Tamron F2.8 24 - 75 mm zoom, and Tamron F3.5 - 6.5 28 - 300 mm zoom. I also use some video lights as well. I also use GoPro Black 7 and DJI Mavic Air. I want to have more decent lenses and version them up but can't afford it. haha.

It's not just a lesson ... it's science! I like that Tops tracker & that Bark River is the best knife I ever touched! 私はそれがほしい!

Hello, Rockie-san. The Scandi Trecker is a small useful knife, It would be a neck knife as well. Adventure 3 is one of the best retail knives fo sho. I hope Bark River reproduces it.
