💕Your sharpened flails now remind me of steel top capped boots💕

Could you run a bead of hard edging along the bottom edge of the flail with the welder before sharpening them. I used to hard edge the shares on my Fergy plough. It literally trebled their life and the plough seemed to dig in better if the going was a bit hard.

Glad you got all of the trimming done, I know you were feeling a time crunch on it.

Nice one Richard . The Russians got to your camera

Has anyone tried some abrasion resistant hard facing powders (applied with an oxyacetylene torch) on the hedgecutter flails? Some chaps in the country with the blue and yellow flag were allegedly doing some Porton Downs type stuff. The Russians weren't waiting around for leaky drain pipes to happen at the lab.

Flappy discs are better for sharpening up flails as they don't heat up like a grinding disc does

How about investing some very hard earned money if you have any left, on buying a fairly large inverter so you can rub your 230 volt grinder and other mains tools from a 12 volt battery. I've got a 1500 watt continuous 3000 watt peak for around £150 to £175. Even run from a good tractor battery. Just a thought.

Get a set of t flails and do a proper job of the hedges ducks foot flails are fucking useless more for cutting grass not chewing the hell out of hedges.
