After watching 3 videos of people trying to sharpen blades with angle grinders this is refreshingly professional .

Okay so I guess I'm going to have to run out and buy one of those flat surface for my five horse chipper, I hope that thing will fit in my garage

My thoughts exactly! If I wanted to pay cash to mail my knives/blades back to the manufacturer for sharpening and then pay for return shipping, why would I have bothered looking up this video?!

Hi Ted. Thanks for the video. What is the company doing the grinding in the video? The machine says Tri County Arborist. We have dealt with so many idiots who happen to own expensive grinders. We sure would like to do business with these guys. It's like I tell my customers... Every competent arborist owns a chipper but not everyone who owns a chipper is a competent arborist.

Tri County is the company.

I agree. It was an asinine comment to make, regardless of the safety issues.

for safety i'd clear the bench a bit, (rags/teeshirt on the bench ready to snag on the wirewheel and flick the chainsaw into you...) and also with the knives I would secure those to the bench or a fixture (wirewheel could snag and throw one at your belly)

What are you spraying them with? Just water? Or?

Great video. Thanks guys. And ignore the haters. Always got to be haters when you make videos. Always dickheads who think they know better. Thanks for the info.

"Great" video ? Hardly. "Always dickheads" who think they know better ??? Could it be (just maybe) there is someone who knows something you don't ? If someone can't take the heat or hate, they need to leave the kitchen. 85 likes and 26 dislikes indicates that it ain't great.

The bit about cutting your fingers right off, come on man. Seriously hard to believe you when you when you exaggerated like that. brand new knives won't do that.

Not a hater here, but when most people search for how to do this, they are home owners. So if step one is "own a multi-thousand dollar flat grinding machine", you're kind of preaching to the wrong audience, that's all.

That is why there are sharpening services.
