That's a great question. I have extra sheets of bookshelf backing material ( I think it's called MDF?). I then grooved all four corners to make it lock together, but I did have to screw scrap wood into each corner to add some rigidity. Works great, as you saw. Thanks for the view.

One of my grandson's motor battles cars quit moving. The wheels respond to direction change but not to forward or reverse. Batteries are good. Any ideas on what is wrong and how to fix it? The other car works well but they did change which controller they respond to. The white car responds to the black controller and the black to the white.

Thanks for the view. I'm not an expert, but it sounds like a wore in the black car may have come off the motor. The only way to fix is to take it apart, track down the issue and, if that's the problem, solder it back on.

Yeah it should be pretty easy

@@mikeinwtby I checked all the wires in the car and the remote and all seemed to be in place with good connections. I don't know enough about the circuit boards and the rest of the electronics to go any further. So, I my grandson just has one functioning car. Thanks again for your help.

Car won’t run but tyres move when I press the gas What could be wrong

Either your controller isn't binding to the car, or there could be something else wrong. Did you use fresh batteries in both the controller and the car? I find certain rechargeable AA batteries are slightly too big and don't make contact with the contact points in the batteries compartment. If it's not the battery, it could be an internal electronic issue.
