In your experience, do compression boots really provide a significant and noticeable advantage regarding to recovery? Studies say that the effect is just marginal. I use a massage gun. Reviews say a gun is more effective, more intense and better for targeting specific areas and deeper. But it`s hard to say if it really reduces the recovery time.

I honestly don’t use mine much lately (naps are my recovery) but IMHO they do make your legs feel better. Whether or not it actually flushes lactic acid faster than not using them, that’s hard to say. If a placebo works 30% of the time, it’s worth exploring. The main thing is the boots should have sequential compression, meaning the sections inflate in a pattern not all at once. The truly cheap ones generally are full on and off. That’s why this Sharper Image one was impressive due to the sequential feature & crazy low cost. Also Massage guns won’t help with muscle toxin flushing just targeted muscle and tendon care. I highly recommend every one try compression boots at least once.
