This is truly the perfect song to describe depression or anxiety, there’s days where you feel empty and the void is so loud inside of you. Sometimes silence is what kills us. People around you like even your closest friends or family don’t even know you’re lost in your head wishing you were dead, just to kill the emptiness that seems to come and go. This song is brutally honest and I love that. It’s ok to not be okay. And sometimes we need to realize we’re not alone. The lyrics on this track are pure emotion. Emotion I’ve felt way too many times. Thank you currents for writing REAL music. I really needed this album.

"Now I know that I'm all alone And nobody will come to save me This is how, how I fall apart All alone with these nightmares in my head" This chorus describes my entire life, I'm 21 but I was all alone my entire life, and now I'm mentally destroyed. But music like that keeps me going and gives me strength to live no matter what. And that piano before chorus pure chills. And guitar solo made my soul fly away. Thank you, Currents for making such a meaningful music! And big thanks to Sharptone Records, which has WCAR, Polaris, Currents and other great bands, that I love so much, and helps them to make such a beatiful music! Metalcore helped me to stay alive so many times, that I can't count. Even though I know that I made decision to live, but without music, and these words and understanding, I probably would've killed myself long ago. But I'm here, and enjoying beatiful, heavy and meaningful music that I love so much! Much love to everyone from Russia!

I've honestly never heard a band this good (besides Animals As Leaders), but they're on their own level. This is just, wow. Every song is so emotional and heavy djenty at the same time, and I can literally feel the emotion coming from the singer and the rest of the band. I've also seen how passionately they play onstage. @nolankuffner35734 жыл бұрын
That second heavy verse, with the sparse guitars and almost contemplative drumming is unreal. Brian goes from this haunting, almost ethereal intro, through an absolutely bombastic chorus, delves into a dark and vile second verse that just feels relentless, but it's that second heavy part that really opens the song up. And yeah, like others have said, I think the singles are probably some of my least favorite tracks. Kill the Ache is another beast of a track. I liked this album more than the EP, but only because it's an album. EPs tend to feel like a handful of singles, and though the tracks were great individually, having an album is like taking a cross country journey, as opposed to going on a half hour cruise. As much as I liked Into Despair, Forever Marked, My Disguise, et al, I just liked the cohesion here a bit better. And when you start to understand how songs fit into the journey, the album itself becomes more it's own thing, versus a collection of separated songs. The coolest thing about albums this focused? You can tell EXACTLY where each song fits into the discography, and what life meant to you then. So in essence, you're creating an emotional connection with the songs that infoms you later whether you want to keep following them or not. Sometimes bands regress to an earlier style or an earlier sound, but I like to think I listen primarily to bands that evolve, spending more time expanding their sound and less time trying to make every song sound like their big hit.
