Or the Bucky Cap body for a bit more continuity because Hank Pym as Giant-man used that mold and I'm pretty sure this is supposed to be Hank

Definitely should've used the Reed Richards body. The Pizza Spidey body honestly needs to be retired from usage for all but the skinniest characters. It's even too thin for Spider-Man, and the proportions are fucking weird. All Spideys need to be on the Spidery 2099 body from now on. And aside from being way to thin, the Pizza Spidey body is way too ripped for Hank Pym too. That Reed Richards body would've been ideal. Weird mistake.

Allow me to deviate from my usual complaints about sculpted nipples for a moment to bring up a more serious concern: Everyone’s happy to have a Blue Wasp, but I’m going to have to play contrarian and admit that I hate that we got this costume. I am well aware that it is a reference to the infamous Toybiz Blue Wasp figure, but you’re telling me that we’re stuck with this costume just for a reference? This costume holds very little significance in the comics and can hardly be pointed to as Janet’s “vintage” look. If anything, I think we should have gotten a truly classic Wasp (red and black with the helmet) to go along with this classic Antman. The two would have looked so great together in their original costumes, but I guess Hasbro didn’t want to make a new sculpt for the helmet. As is, this Wasp is an easy pass for me.

Dr. Deltanbui My problem with this is that the original Blue Wasp isn’t rare because it’s a great figure or an exclusive or something: it’s only rare because it wasn’t meant to be released. The only appeal of that figure was that it is so rare. This figure takes that allure away completely, leaving you with this figure for what it is at face value: Wasp in a relatively random costume that holds very little sentimental value for longtime comic readers.

So it falls into “very expensive” category. That figure was released more or less a decade ago. It was a great figure during its time. If you’re going to ask me, I prefer the red classic costume with helmet but this wave is wave of kitbash and repaints. That classic red wasp should be a bnew sculpt.

Honestly, I think you’re asking for too much with that Beast. The Vinatge waves are meant for repaints and allowing collectors to try to get figures they didn’t get the first time around. The only way that Hasbro can do a Beast that comes close to the Toybiz Beast is by making him a BAF. Anything less than that will probably result in a mediocre figure.

Juan Sanchez though I agree with you, I really think hasbro might throw us a bone with beast. A retooled omega red body would be a good body for beast IF they don't make a brand new mold. Maybe make him the BAF for an X men vintage wave, we got a wave I would get hard for lmao

If I may. Beast isnt BAF worthy. Cyclops/Scott (who is using the bucky cap body) is taller than Beast/Hank. Beast needs a new body but definitely not a baf figure.

Based on the straight boot cuffs, I assumed this Ant-Man figure was supposed to be 80s/early 90s Scott Lang. Hank Pym had jagged boot cuffs that matched his jagged glove cuffs.

For an unmasked Hank Pym I think the old Steve Rogers head would work best. That was pretty vague so as an example it’s the one from the Winter Solider, Age of Ultron, and Civil War three pack Captain America

I like the Toybiz one more. This new one has a better body sculpt, but the Toybiz one has better paint and a much more accurate costume. I honestly can’t get past the helmet on this new figure, it’s awful.

This is Hasbro's third use of that min-Wasp. It first appeared in the Secret Wars comic 2-pack with Dr Doom as her green/purple costume from the first Secret Wars comics; they repainted it for the Wasp 3.75 black/yellow outfit figure, and now blue. I would prefer a classic Silver Age Wasp with the helmet and a more accurate 1960s Ant-Man. The Toybiz Scott Lang Ant-Man is that classic 1960s costume, because in the original Michelinie/Bryne Scott Lang tale, Scott burglarizes Pym's house and steals his old outfit. I think the Vision is the best of this wave, better than Hasbro's first Vision way back when and the Toybiz.

Just want to weigh in with vote for this line to continue a long time. Some of us are new to Marvel Legends collecting and it's nice to be able to start with a new line that covers the classic MU. Catching up only via 2ndary market or just missing out on stuff that came before is disappointing but if this line keeps coming it will be fantastic.

I knew this was coming but I'm still very pleased to see them. I like both figures. If I had to rate the wave though, these two would come in fifth and sixth. Hawkeye and Scarlet Spider would be first and second. As I said, these figs are wall decorations for me. I hope there's a third wave.

Hasbro was very lazy not giving us a new head sculpt for the Hank Pym Antman. Stright up repaint for this not worth it. Would of been nice to see the comparison with the Scott Lang antman and stinger with these 2. Or try a head swap with those figures. To me the Scott Lang antman is the best figure of the three antman figures. Good review though. Always enjoy your reviews.

Yeah, if it wasn't for the Marvel trading cards that started in 1990, I'd have no idea who 75% of these characters are in movies & figure form. God I loved those cards. Series 2 was definitely my favorite and Series 3 really sucked. I'll always remember that Sam Kieth Wolverine from series 2..definitely my favorite card.
