That's Hasbro being cheap and greedy at the same time. Figure out another way to sell repaints and get people to double dip. That being said, I like this version much better than the previous one I bought, so this irritating strategy is effective. They even added arm hair. Mattel did the same "retro" repaint/packaging trick with DC's Super Powers line. Not sure who did it first, though.

They may not be lowering the price by $5 but online that is clearly the case... you can pretty much get any figure of the vintage series for $15, without speculators buying them up for the baf piece, they have become very affordable(heck I just bought the Iron Man figure on Amazon for less than $10 today...I had no interest in him to be honest but for $10, why wouldn't I?---technically it was $8.69---$9.48 after tax)

For the scratch on the Punisher, try using Tamiya Flat White and a small brush to cover it up. Just a little bit and not too much.

I used superglue on Wolverine's claws to keep them in place. Upon opening him, a claw flew right off and almost lost it. Don't have to worry about that anymore.

Found it really easy to use an exacto blade to separate the finger for punisher to make trigger fingers, since the hand is made of soft plastic

I was very lucky when I got the Juggernaut BAF one. I bought mine on Toys R Us online, after buying a Bumblebee figure. I found it on sale by pure luck and I still consider it to be my luckiest online find ever.

The cardback splits to take the fig out of the bubble. Very little glue. Also, i think those are white versions of netflix punisher hands. I just bought a pair for my custom Morph i made.

True, but there's still possibility you might end up ripping apart the picture on the second car. I saw a video of another guy unboxing it and when he ripped it , the picture on the second/back card sticked along with the front card.

I don't think these are rip offs. I think it's an equal opportunity for collectors to get past figures that are now not in stock anymore or too expensive on Amazon/eBay. I myself have missed out on a couple of these figures and have bought the retro figures for improved paint aps or more accessories. So no rip off.

The Vintage packs are really cool. I was hoping you would do a whole lot of head swapping with the different figures because of the variety and different styles that the people making the figures produce. People, like you, may like the slightly different paint applications. Lastly these "vintage" packs are a nice collectors piece and another chance for collectors to get figures they weren't able to get before. Its been a while since I've seen your videos and I'm glad I picked back up on this one. I hope the whole Shart Family is doing well. Keep collecting and being you.

The punisher has better superman headsculpts than 90 percent of the superman figures dc collectibles has made to date.if he didn't have that bandana that head would already be on my rebirth superman figure. Whenever I get a second set of these I'm going to have to take one of the hundreds of Bucky cap bodies I have in my fodder bin and make a marvel legends superman. I must have at least 20 of them that are blue already, just have to pop on/swap some red boots, throw a head on there, airbrush the symbol and cut out a cape using my mezco bvs supes as an outline, use some thin wire covers to make that area around the neck that the cape is usually attached to and done. Probably going to Dremel down the bandana, smooth it out with some fine grit wet sandpaper, color in the skin tone and use that head even though I could get away with using the other one. Anyway, I'm so surprised people prefer punisher without that awesome harness that came in the Walgreens exclusive

put acetons on the back of the package snd it will remove the glue but jot thr paint then you can take the blister off and then glue it back when ur done

I do think that this was a great idea by hasbro, I missed out on the original jugg wave wolverine, love this new figure. I am also a big punisher fan so I did a huge kitbash between the 2 to make a perfect punisher. With the new one I put the old Toybiz trench coat on him and it works wonderfully, the other is a super tactical frank. Great vid as always

I missed out on the Juggy wave Wolverine too. I am glad this one came out. And the interchangeable head is perfect. It took some work but I managed to fit the head to my Legendary Riders wave Logan figure. It looks so much better now.

As others have pointed out(even though this was a year ago) these are designed primarily for late collectors, or for people who didn't get these figures the first time for whatever reason. I have no problem with this series, you won't get the speculators ruining the availability of these figures for casual collectors, and even serious collectors who missed out on a particular character has an option to get one that represents the 'true comic' version of the character... (outside of the weird inclusion of Scarlet Spider) As long as Hasbro keeps releasing these slowly (two series a year of about six figures seems about right) it should be a nice backup for casual collectors.

Great figs, I love this vintage wave. just got them all! I feel like they reshaped this wolvy mask to represent even more different style of artwork. I love the matte finish on Spidey this time around. The Iron Man was the fig I was stoked for the most I would say. Awesome review on these two bro!

The news from this review made my day regarding it using the same mold as the Juggernaut BAF Wolverine. I've been after that one for a while, since i'm a fan of the Brown Costume Wolverine from the Mid to late 80's. However, the Prices for the BAF have been extraordinary. Thanks for the info on this figure. I like the newer more accurate paint, and the additions of the arm hair. I think those factors make it an overall better figure then the Juggernaut BAF version. Found this on sale and now have my Wolverine for the Display, a better version, averted having to pay up the nose, and didn't even have to pay retail for it. I'm liking these 2nd chance figures, particularly if they are going to have upgrades. Also thanks for the tips on straightening the claws.

I actually like when they do this re-releases. Whoever already have them don't have to buy again but for those of us who missed it's good to have an option rather than paying premium on eBay - which is ridiculous by the way. On the packaging opening why do you do it at the bottom? I do it on the top pretty much the same way but cutting on the top means I can put inside big boxes and it won't fall if I grab it from the top. Likewise it won't fall off if you decide to have them on wall pegs or shelf hangers or whatever...

That original Wolverine you show was the first Wolverine figure I ever had, so I prefer this one over the Juggernaut one due to it reminding me of that figure but also because this is the colour scheme I think of when I think of the brown and orange Wolverine costume, the Juggernaut wave one seems too dark in comparison.

Hey Shart, I just swooped up this Wolverine. Honestly, I don't even collect Legends anymore, but I wasn't going to miss out on this mold again. Anyways... Does your figure have paint issues? The issue with mine involves the yellow, the yellow painted areas in the head, torso, and hips are substantially darker than the yellow legs. I don't remember seeing that issue in the prior release...

It's definitely frustrating double dipping for what is obviously the same figures. I bought Captain America for the lighter blue and "eagle feather" design, so he was worth it. I feel the same way with Wolverine and like this version much better. The mask and added arm hair seal the deal. This just screams '80s to me much more. Plus, the first version had inconsistent yellow paint on his abdomen and his legs. Seems that was fixed on this version. Maybe I'll try to sell the first version I have of Wolvie. I know Hasbro is being cheap and greedy at the same time, but I have to admit the strategy worked on me, at least for those two figures.
