My son tells me this one of the suits turned inside-out. Supposedly, in the film, a Mysterio fan throws green paint on Spider-Man and he has to flip the suit around to hide the stain.

Let's be honest, we'll probably get another version after the movie comes out. With more accessories, more details etc. But as for this figure, definitely not my favourite from this wave but for now it's still good addicion to collection so I'll give it a sudrating of, It's not so bad.

I don’t know too much about the painting process of making action figures but I’m sure LEGO received all the same concept art that Hasbro did and any updates to it. So if lego was able to accurately print the black and gold suit as it appears in the film as well as release it at the same time if not earlier, then Hasbro REALLY did us dirty this time and said, “Eh they’ll buy it anyway and they’ll buy the accurately painted version in a Walmart exclusive two pack next year too 👀” I can’t be the only seeing right through this right?

@@PajamaMan69420 Wrong, the Lego version has arm printing that probably had to be modified to match the updated design, and also change the color of hand, while Hasbro due to manufacturing reasons or Laziness, were not able to just change the coloring from red to gold while keeping the unaccurate design of the gloves area

Unfortunately this should have been the suit that didn't come with the armadillo piece. Because if the upgraded suit with its extra head and Webb came with an armadillo piece I would've passed on this one and I guess Hasbro knew that because they put the armadillopiece into the repaint of the upgraded suit. I guess as collectors were damned if we do and damn if we don't because cause you kind of get stuck I have no choice but to buy 2 figures that are just freaking repaints. But because of that I initially bought 2 upgraded suits and I returned one because it's the same figure!

I'm 90% sure it's just his upgraded suit turned inside out. Either he wanted something more stealth or the outside of the suit got damaged or stained in some way, I'm sure there will be am explanation. You can see in Homescoming when they were taking the tracker out of the suit, even on his stark suit, the instide of the suit is black and gold with a circuit pattern.

This is a great looking figure and a welcome addition to my spiderman shelf. The only downside being that it's also my smallest spiderman figure, even smaller by a large margin than the miles gamerverse figure released at the same time.

I have a feeling they’re going to re-release this figure with the forearms supposed to be painted from what we’ve seen in the trailer as part of the Spider-Man anniversary line along with the integrated suit, the integrated suit is missing the cob web pattern and again along with the MCU Spider-Man figures, no wall crawling hands which is just disappointing. They need to include wall crawling hands on an mcu Spider-Man figure.

Rant time: I know it's a common thing in the comics, but I'm not that a fan of a hero having so many suits in one movie.. feels more like an excuse to make more toys than anything else.. maybe they'll justify its existance on the movie so I'll give them that but what pisses me off the most is that Hasbro can't freaking wait after the movie is released to give us an accurate figure with proper accesories because without that.. this is just a repaint with really nothing great to offer. People who want the baf are gonna have to pay for a mediocre figure and people who are fans of the movie are not going to be completely pleased (I know not everyone cares about accuracy but they at least deserve something more decent for the money they're spending). The worst part is, they'll probably make an updated version in the future. Releases like this are so dumb. What's also strange to me is that other companies still make/announce more accurate figures at around the same time. Probably I'm wrong on that last statement but how come the movie is not out and Hot Toys has a more accurate figure? Did Hasbro just need to wait a little bit longer for them to not compromise the accuracy? If that's the case I think waiting a little bit more would be worth it, if not I really don't know what's Hasbro's excuse at this point.
