Lauding Rahul Gandhi, Congress MP Shashi Tharoor said Leader of Opposition’s speech in Parliament was a strong attack on the BJP government's ideology of Hindutva. According to Tharoor, his speech had a significant impact on other parliamentarians and was seen as a strong debut performance as the Leader of the Opposition (LoP). Clarifying on Gandhi’s ‘angry Hindu’ remark which sparked furore, Tharoor said, “the BJP's objections to his statement are unfounded, as he clearly distinguished between the party and the broader Hindu community.”
