Shashka VS Katana

Hi Cossacks!
Today I offer you a little "trailer" clip from the next week video!
We oppose two giants of cold weapons, well two legendary sabers! The Katana (japanese saber) VS the Shashka (cossack's saber).
Both of them have made their reputation along the history, the idea here, of course, isn't to make them fight but to see the practices and skills of each other. Try one saber on practices of the other and try the saber of the other too, well you'll understand better by watching the video :)
I'm not a Katana expert, so I asked my brother at arms Arnaud Flour, for him to help me for this video.

Is the katana well sharpened? I've seen them cutting tatami much cleaner.

Yeah by doing the video we understood Tha the katana wasn't sharpened enough! Especially compared to the shashka!

It appears that the katana makes cutting a bit easier being two handed even if it's less sharpened than the shashka. Very nice video
