Love this truck and the videos, wish you were able to post content like this more often. Got myself a stock 2016 4x4 laramie cummins last year and finally got some good BDS suspension, 17" raceline wheels and 37's to get some more ground clearance/confidence to do some more challenging trails without damaging the truck. Looking to build it into something like this. Great setup

Been looking at these truck toppers and they are pricey but probably totally worth it. The skinny guy one caught my eye. The toilet is a selling point to please the wife. Loving this type of content and hopefully we can get a lot more. Mishimoto radiator really nice.
@EpicAdventuresOffroad Жыл бұрын
Thanks for the feedback! I looked at the skinny guy as well, but the price point was a little hard to swallow. In my opinion, you can get a cartridge toilet and have that in the back of your truck bed if you need a restroom. Appreciate you watching!

Hi! Good to see you're back... Last video I watched of yours, you were camping and fishing with another White Dodge. Didn't see much more from the channel after that. I'm liking your new setup tho. It's more in line with what I have... I hope you keep pushing out content... I know it's difficult, but there's no one else in a Full Size Dodge Diesel doing anything that I'm aware of... Your truck walk around put you back on my radar in case you were wondering. I Solo in my Dodge as well. There are times for me when it's like it was for you here... one thing after another... LOL! Just have to count your blessings and not your curses... After all it is better than not getting out at all. Take care!

Yeah that was a while ago. Lots of life changes happened and it slowed me down a bit, but I’m back in it full swing now so I should be able to get more consistent trips and content out 👍 And yes sir, that’s good advice, ran in to all sorts of stuff on that trip, but it was still a great time overall. Thanks for sticking around on the channel!

That truck has came a long way since the video at your boss’s ranch. I really like how you set it up. My wheels are turning now thinking how I’m going to set mine up. You gotta do a walk around of the truck there’s a lot of cool shit that was done I know I’m not the only one who would appreciate the rundown.

Really excellent looking build, congrats! Definitely hoping to replicate this setup down the road. I’ve done a wrangler with ground tent, f150 with rooftop tent, and ranger with ground tent. The f150 was by far most enjoyable to travel and adventure with, although some trails are too tight, the extra space for gear and comfort is worth it. An atlas camper instead of the rooftop tent would have been ideal. For anything bigger than a half ton, Will definitely take a hard look at Ram. What are your thoughts on gas vs diesel for these types of adventures?
@EpicAdventuresOffroad10 ай бұрын
Thanks for the kind words. I agree on the trails getting tight for a full size. Lots of pin striping on my truck if you start looking really close lol. And I am a diesel guy through and through. Mostly because I use my truck for work constantly in addition to all of my fun offroad camping adventures, so it works really well in that sense. 2 things I like about a gas engine though - instant power, and much lighter truck = easier to maneuver offroad. I still prefer my diesel, but those are just some things to think about.

Nice upgrade with the camper! We're enjoying your camping trips from my couch! It was -20 F with -47 F wind chills last night in SD so no Winter camping for me this weekend. Can you do an update on the camper and changes you've recently done to the truck? Also, what front DS did you go with?

Shoot that’s cold! Glad I’m not in that lol. I appreciate you watching. I’ll try to get a camper video out in the near future. The driveshaft replacement is a Tom Woods. Been solid, so I’m glad I went that route.

JB Weld for the win. I'm looking at upgrading my setup. What made you choose the AT pop-up versus other brands?
@EpicAdventuresOffroad11 ай бұрын
AT uses a much thicker aluminum than most of the other brands, built in honeycomb insulation on all sides and roof, and overall super strong build. I’m not a huge fan of the raw aluminum, but I got a great deal with it being used. Highly recommend if you’re thinking of going that route!

Love this video. That radiator crack couldn't have happened in a more convenient spot! Some positive constructive feedback: your voice-over (when you talking over some video footage) was a little bit quiet and hard to hear some times. Also, looked up that moreflate hose, is that really $200??
@EpicAdventuresOffroad6 ай бұрын
Thanks for the feedback! I've been steadily working on getting my audio up to par. I'll keep that in mind for the voice overs. And yeah, that morflate is pretty pricey, but it sure makes life easier when you're airing up and down!

You have clearly invested a lot of money in your rig. The truck doesn't appear to be very old in very good shape and you mentioned its a new radiator. This is why I don't buy but Dodge products. You didn't run it very hard it should not have cracked. I am a GM man with a 24 year old stock truck that I camp out of and don't have these kind of problems glad you made it home ok. Try a GM next truck. There is no question that Cummings motor is great, why ? because dodge didn't make it but they made the rest of the truck. I was on the fence about buying a Power Wagon for my next truck but this kind of reinforced my convictions thanks.
@EpicAdventuresOffroad10 ай бұрын
So I don't recall saying that it was a new radiator. Because its the original, but that aside, the trails always look much easier on camera. I was flexing the frame out quite a bit and the truck has 170k miles on it, I'm not too surprised that a part cracked. I've since replaced it with an all aluminum radiator and no issues. It seems a bit silly to condemn an entire brand over a cracked radiator on a truck with 170k miles and being 16 years old. That being said, every brand has their issues. If you dig back on my channel, you'll see that I completely rebuilt the engine on my 03 CHEVY duramax. Fantastic truck, but still has PLENTY of flaws (Rebuild was due to a cracked head it turns out). Don't get me started on that front end IFS setup... OR the injectors that routinely go out every 60-80k miles. But do I hate the brand because of that? Of course not, in fact I still think they're great trucks. So maybe try to keep a more open mind. I've heard those power wagons are great trucks too.
