Shetrunjaya ("place of victory against inner enemies") are hills located by the city of Palitana, in Bhavnagar district, Gujarat, India
They are situated on the banks of the Shetrunji River at an elevation of 164 feet (50 m) above sea level
Shatrunjaya - Mount Shatrunjaya - is one of the paramount holy places for Jains
The Gulf of Cambay is to the south of the Shatrunjaya Hills, and Bhavnagar city is to the north of the hills with the Shetrunji River flowing in between.
The summit is situated at an elevation of 7,288 feet (2,221 m). Reaching it involves climbing over 3,750 stone steps approx (oneway/up).
How to reach Shantrunjaya Hill Palitana
By Air
The nearest airport is at Bhavnagar, located about 51km from Palitana. The airport is well connected by daily flights to Mumbai, Delhi and Ahmedabad. From the airport, taxi services are available. There is no direct connectivity of flight between Mumbai and Palitana.
By Train
Palitana station is connected by trains from Ahmedabad and Bhavnagar. The nearest major railhead is Bhavnagar located about 56 km away. Trains from many cities of Gujarat and other states do halt at the station.
From Mumbai By train -
There is/are 1 direct train(s) from Mumbai to Palitana. These train(s) is/are Bdts Pit Sf Exp (22935) etc. The minimum time a train takes to reach Palitana from Mumbai is 13h 40m. The cheapest way to reach Palitana from Mumbai takes you 13h 40m, which is to take Bdts Pit Sf Exp from Mumbai to Palitana.
By Road
Palitana is well connected by road. One can take state transport buses from Ahmedabad, Bhavnagar, Una, Talaja to reach Palitana.

U should not call shatrunjay pahad it is our highle esteemed "giriraj" and instead of views you should highlight 800 derasar(temples).moreover we cannot buy or eat anything on giriraj you shouldn't talk about lion eatinga donkey as we jains are very strict followers of ahimsa non violence it is our greatest tirth not tourist attraction
