Ryan Lee It's not a causal relationship. Shawn stood there and Steve fell to his death, but standings don't cause falling, otherwise any time someone stood there someone would fall to their death.

The part of this that broke my heart the most is even after seeing their son and their other sons funeral they still don’t try and bring him home. They still don’t try to understand him and be a part of his life. How could anyone ever be so cruel to a person like this? Yes he’s blunt and says everything he shouldn’t but it’s not his fault. Don’t punish the kid for something he couldn’t control if he wanted too. All he can do is learn to be better.

Okay, but this is the first show that made me cry in less than a season. This episode had me bawling almost the entire time, it's so masterfully done, the way the kid reminds Shawn of his brother. The episode is about Shawn not only learning to lie (or at least pick up on the patterns) but learning to stop blaming himself for what happened to his brother (which is in itself a lie) Just... God this is probably my favorite episode, it's making me cry to think about it
