I didn’t shave my head but did chop to about an inch on top to get rid of all of the color and let my gray hair grow out. It’s a fun and at times frustrating process for sure. I did the chop in 2017 and now my hair is halfway down my back which is longer than It’s ever been in my entire life. I’m loving it!!

You are pulling it off beauuuutifully! I'm in my late 40's and have colored my hair for a long time. 2 years ago I chopped all the color off, down to pixie short! It's now well past my shoulders with lots of silvers and I don't regret it at all!

I’m planning to buzz cut my hair in the fall so I can start over too. I’ve always dyed my roots and to see the 2” snow job going on right now is still upsetting for me. Buzz cut and wear hats until it looks decent again. Lol.

I shaved my head 2017 to grow my virgin hair color back, bleached it 2019 and regret it and shaved my head again and saved mye virgin hair color back. In May i just wanted to put in a color to Enchance jag red in my hair, i went to a beauty store and talked to a girl. I said k wanted a color that enchance the red more but i dont want to have it in forever if i regret it. I said i shaved and grew my hair out for 3 years and that i was worried that you can't take the color out. I was so worried but trusted this girl but she reassured me it would be no problem to get out and i dont have to worry. I regret putting in the color right away on the first strand but told myself that the girl hade said the color will get out so i just went through with it. The problem was, it has Ammonium Hydroxide and Hydrogen Peroxide, it basically colored my hair to the point that it was no turning back to my natural hair and ALSO bleached it! I had saved it out for 2 years and 10 months!! I know it said permanent hair color but it said it would last 8 weeks and was washable so i thought the color would get out. I had no other choice than to shave my hair off and start over AGAIN! My mom has uncurable cancer, they can only slow it down. I wanted to get married before she pass in my long virgin hair. Your videos are a good help for me to get through this journey again ❤️

I've found taking a progress picture every week helps keep me motivated. Also cutting the mullet! It makes up till month 5 look like a cute pixie. (Don't cut sides though) then at month 6 it starts resembling a bob a bit more! It is however really down to how you style it. :) good luck!

Also if you wear makeup. I found when I'm down about my hair, if I give myself a good makeup look it helps a lot.
