I'm on a hobie compass duo. The downrigger I'm using is a scotty lake troller manual downrigger.

It just amuses me the quest and mentality of some fisherman, you have to paddle the boat, steer, set downrigger x2 and reel in net fish, your like a monkey fu*king a football, no full control, my 2cts

What month is this? Do you hv to wait until the roads are clear of snow to get access?

@benjavier8262 This was during Late Spring around April or May 2024. The roads are still accessible even when there is snow. You will have to carry snow chains when there is snow on the roads or CHP will write you a citation. You can always check conditions on Shaver Lake's live cam as well.

I've never caught any kokanee off the banks before but you're targeting for trout. Kastmasters, Thomas buoyant, Joe flies spinner, and powerbait have always worked well for me.
