The King C Gillette line is one of my favorite lines from Gillette due to its safety razor meets modern cartridge razor products. From its Heritage Safety Razor, Safety Razor, Shave & Edge Razor, Neck Razor to its beard comb, beard brush, soap, gel, moisturizer, oil, thickener, beard balm, Beard Trimmer, Beard Trimmer Pro and Style Master - it is a high end product with many choices to choose from.
I bought my eldest son the 2020 King C Gillette Neck Razor for a more easy going shave. the King C Gillette Neck Razor cartridges and Gillette Skin Guard Razors work well for a sensitive shave.
I bought each of my sons the 2020 King C Gillette Double Edge Razor - this one is great for a beginner or anyone with sensitive skin due to its mild shave.
I bought each of my sons the 2019 King C Gillette Heritage Double Edge Safety Razor - this razor is excellent for a close shave, it is not mild and is not good for a sensitive shave.
In this video I will be using the 2023 King C Gillette (or KCG) Beard Trimmer Pro to cut and trim my beard down to a goatee. The KCG Beard Trimmer Pro has 20 settings, two combs: 0mm-20mm for up to 40 lengths, a cleaning brush, a charger and a zipper carry pouch. I will be using the 2020 King C Gillette Beard Trimmer to shave my head and the 2021 King C Gillette Style Master to shave the back of my neck. I will be using KCG products (KCG Transparent Shave Gel, KCG Beard and Face Wash, KCG Face and Stubble Moisturizer, KCG Soft Beard Balm, KCG Beard Oil, KCG Beard Comb, KCG Beard Brush) to trim, soften and style my beard.
In this video I will be shaving with a Gillette Trac II Twin Injector (Gillette Twinjector) razor (handle) with its original manufacturer blade. It was part of the Gillette Safety Razor Division. It was the only injector razor Gillette released - branded the Gillette Trac II Twin Injector from 1973 to 1975. It later was rebranded the Gillette Twinjector from 1975 to 1980.
The Gillette Trac II Twin Injector (Gillette Twinjector) twin blades were said to have the cutting power of the cartridge razor Gillette Trac II. These blades were promoted by Gillette to be compatible with all Injector Razors produced from 1961 forward except those that had or were Rinsing Levers, Pal Razors, Persona Regular Razors. Gillette guaranteed the razor blades to function with all said Injector Razors by stating Gillette would send a free Gillette Trac II Twin Injector (Gillette Twinjector) razor (handle). Gillette even stated the said standard single blades were compatible with Gillette Trac II Twin Injector (Gillette Twinjector) razor (handle). I also show how the Parker Adjustable Injector Razor version I own does not function with the Gillette Twinjector blades. I show the Parker injector and Gillette Twinjector blades side by side.
The Gillette Twinjector (Gillette Trac II Twin Injector) razor I show in this video has the date code V 2 (V=1975 Quarter=2), inscribed on the bottom Twin Injector (blade to skin side) of the razor housing.
In my opinion, the Gillette Trac II Twin Injector (Gillette Twinjector) razor, handle and blades, were a great way to move consumers from a wet shave to cartridge shave and electric shaving as we can see by the modern shave items seen in stores today.
Though I have the King C Gillette Beard Thickener it was shown but not used during the filming of this video.
My youngest son likes to see the outtakes so I have included them in the closing of this video.
