Some attribute razor bumps and ingrown hairs to shaving a certain direction, using warm or hot water to the preferred cold water, cartridge to double edge blade (or double edge differing blades and/or differing cartridges) and some say it is switching between foams, gels, creams, butters or soaps. Some of us have more sensitive skin and changing a variation of these different things may help over time. It is different from one individual to the next. The Mach 3 (all model handles), Mach 3 Sensitive and Mach 3 Sensitive Power cartridges came with the razor cartridge covers on the related handles. The Mach 3 Sensitive cartridges and Mach 3 cartridges can be found online and in some retail stores depending on where you live but usually come with a multiple razor cartridge storage case (2-4, 5 or 8-16 cartridge capacity). That's a good question. It depends on the dullness of a razor blade, thickness of the lather, thickness of ones facial hair and amount of growth. ..Personally.. If I shave every night (when I want an extremely close shave) & use both sides of the double edge razor, I can get by doing an "against the grain" full shave, rinse out the clogging, then complete a with the grain full shave no rinse needed. If I shave every three (or more days) I tend to rinse half way through the "against the grain shave" and continue to rinse with each quarter shave. After all, we're removing dead skin in this process too right. With a full beard I using cold water, rinsing constantly to make sure I do not pluck the hairs, get razor bumps or get really, really bad weepers. I have noticed I need to do less rinsing with my adjustable safety razors especially the Merkur Futur due to the blade gap and cut outs on the bottom portion of the head. i would love for comparison between the old head design in 1:16, with the modern mach 3 head. it will be interesting which one give closer shave the old one or the new one. i personally think the old one are more aggressive + efficient with more blade feel

wow amazing ! personally i love the older mach 3 head with the less micro-fins ( i think 5) , i love the old mach 3 head design the: classic , turbo, and sensitive . and about the handels i love the 1998 classic handle he is hevier and build storonger i can feel it . the new one are more plassticy and cheap . about the heads i prefer the old design, the heads in this video: 1:16(cool blue) , 1:36 , 2:10 i love the classic handle in 0:03 many thanks for this video ! 😃

🤣😂 That's funny! But honestly, If ya find the right seller, it doesn't cost that much. No lifetime warranty like the tools but the parts are truly Snap-On Tool parts from Snap-On Tools. 🤣😂😁 Couldn't afford to do that bud! Just get them when I am able. Like to accumulate then create. Not a monetary social media influencer yet dude (don't make money doing this). 😁😂🤣 I think it's good for me to add that I started on KZbin uploading family and friend videos. Created twisted humor, gaming and tech videos for my sons and friends. I started the shaving videos for my sons primarily since they were starting to shave (when they weren't with me, they had the videos to look at). It was difficult to explain by phone or text. I honestly didn't think I would have other people watching, interacting and subscribing but it's cool people have. I sure didn't think I'd make money (get monetized) making these videos. When I learned of the monetary option I was excited about the prospect at first but quickly came to the realization that it most likely wouldn't ever happen. It’s supposed to be cedar and orange peels. I would agree with that. It’s very subtle and clean smelling. My new favorite. Doesn’t irritate my skin as much as the cheaper gels. No alcohol/dyes/parabens. I think that might be better for sensitive skin. My new favorite until I find something better. I like the Gillette labs razor alot with this gel too. They are a nice pairing! Some people say it’s supposed to replace “Gillette pure” not sure how true that is. Does have menthol. We shall see if that affects my skin negatively but it feels nice.

Would you say the shave with this is just as close as any other non electric razor / DE?

The shave is closer than the similar standard handle(s)/cartridge(s) but in my opinion the Straight Razors, Shavette Razors, DE Safety Razors give a closer shave. This still all depends on the blade used with the safety razor and shavette or the blade that is on the straight razor as well. For instance, I prefer usually use a Gillette Platinum in the safety razors but each handle may vary in shave due to the blade gap. That all being said, I do feel that those type devises provide a closer shave than a cartridge razor. Thank you for your comment and for watching!

@@CRShaves I tried DE and straight razors .. unfortunately I’m not too skilled and sliced my leg with a straight once (yes I’m a full body scaper lol) .. And DEs irritate my skin. I’m currently using a cheap Bic Titanium 3 cartridge. They’re good and all. No irritation and very close shave. But I was just curious if this Gillette styler could get me as good of a shave as my Bic 3. I’m seeing here the cartridge for the Styler has 5 blades .. my skin can’t take that so irritation is a big concern.

How many shaves with one blade?

Each cartridge can last a week to 30 days or more depending on a person's shave habits, length of facial hair or thickness of facial hair. At the time of filming this I shaved daily so each shave was shorter facial hair. When I use this handle and cartridge on a regular basis I changed the cartridge once a month with this type use. The handle I am using is the Gillette Fusion Proglide Styler. I am using the cartridge shave attachment with the Gillette Fusion Proglide cartridge in this particular video. This particular handle is heavier and is a bit thicker than the related standard handles but has extremely great non slip grip. I feel that it gives a closer shave than the related non powered handles. 😂😂 I do like to get a close shave so it may look as if I'm digging at the grain. Thank you for your comment and for watching!
