I am a member of the Dollar Shave Club. I have been using them, and they work so good. I have used electrics, and had no luck. I suffer from sensitive skin, so I get the bumps if I'm not careful. Most other razors were horrible for me. Currently I'm actually happy .. good topic..

I was looking into the Dollar shave club but saw some bad reviews. Good to hear some one who likes them. Might look into them again. I tend to like the Gillette Good News razors. They've worked for me for years.

***** I figure , if you don't like them just cancel.

I toned down my shaving routine. I shave two maybe 3 times a year. I use an electric trimmer to get down to stubble then whatever blades I have on hand. Ain't real picky. Sometimes if required I'll keep the beard in check for a while with an electric razor. I don't like my beard once it gets too long and I don't like being clean shaven. I've noticed people are much more receptive if I'm freshly shaved. Still don't bother with shaving much though. Not much of a people person I guess.
@RC627 жыл бұрын
hehehe... Guess you save a ton on razors and shave cream. :D I only shave about once or twice a week unless I'm going somewhere and usually sport a short goatee and mustache. It all came off last night after I screwed up trimming it. So for today I'm clean shaven. :D

Used electric for several years and switched back to multi blade razor but still using the electric type shaving lotion instead of cream. Works for me.
@RC627 жыл бұрын
I've tried the razor with just a pre-shave but found I like the gel / cream better. Whatever works. :D

I'm a blade man (dollar shave club).. I find myself (the older I get) shaving places I never knew existed
@RC627 жыл бұрын
lmao... Yeah I know what you mean. So you are happy with the blades from Dollar Shave Club? Had read mixed reviews on them.

Interesting topic Rob...but I still use my Norelco 3 head electric shaver, I buy replacement heads for it. I don't have heavy beardhair, don't need razor, always had a mustache , but occasionally grow a goatee and then later shave it off.

My Dad always liked the Norelco Triple head shavers. He used them from the early 70's on. I tried one but wound up giving it to him. I couldn't get used to it. :D

Philishave for the last couple of decades. I used to switch occasionally between dry and wet shaving, and between different styles of electic razor, but found it takes a while, too long, for the skin to get used to each method.

The One Blade takes some getting used to but it isn't bad. Hasn't caused much irritation at all. It will not be my primary shave method though. I still prefer the Good News disposable razor. Mainly I'll use it for shaving off the beard when it grows out too long for the blade razor to cut easily.

Bar soap in the shower. I need no mirror! Gillete Fusion, But the blades get rediculous, so it is cheaper to buy a new one. The 5 blades last for 6 months at a time.
@RC627 жыл бұрын
That works... Must take a while though cause you shave the whole head and face don't you? :D

YEP! I am done in about 5 minutes if I am keeping up on it. I have the batter powered Trimmers also. So when it gets over a 1/4 inch I run that then Shave.

WAY late on theis , but i use a straight razor , oldscool and i love it , also my pocket knife and other knives as i like them sharp ! i shave once or maybe twice a week , and sometimes not for long times since my beard growes slow ! i can do a vid of my puma and solingen blades , the regular knives are ,i guess , not that interresting !
@RC627 жыл бұрын
Yeah would like to see your straight razors. I have one that belonged to my Grandfather but no way I'd try to shave with it. I'd be a bloody mess. lol

I use Mach 3 razors until they get dull.My razor vibrates and give a pretty close shave usually.
@RC627 жыл бұрын
I usually just use the standard Good News razors. One will last me a month. This new electric I bought is OK but won't replace the blades. Thanks for watching and commenting Joe. :D

I Tried some of those high dollar 3-rotor type ones like you mentioned, none of them work worth of piss unless you use them every day, which I most certainly do not. I use a regular gilette 3 blade razor, does the trick, but I only shave like once every 2 months. I work in SW, a line where they don't give much of a fuck what you look like.

Hey, somehow missed your post. KZbin stopped emailing me for a few weeks when I had comments... Just saw this. I work in IT and telecommute so my management nor coworkers get to see me very often. I let it get scruffy before shaving. I generally only shave 1-2 times a week when it starts to bother me. :D
@MrSlowestD167 жыл бұрын
Funny you mention that - I surprisingly don't actually know what it means to "bother you." I hear a lot of people say that. Mine never bothers me. I just grow it out and it's scraggly and nasty and I don't maintain it but it's never itched or bothered me in any way! So because of that that shit grows for months!

Merkur safety razor. Safety razors are so much better than multiblade junk. The phillips electic razor can pull hairs out :|, my sister forced me to shave once and pushed it against chin while running and since then i have a nice phillips triangle on my chin where it tore out the hairs D:.
@RC627 жыл бұрын
My Grand dad had given me a Remington shaver once. It did the same thing, just pulled the hair. Electrics are usually not for me. I like this little "One Blade" it isn't too bad. And mainly I plan to use it for trimming off the beard or mustache when it grows out (or when I miss trim it as I did last night and had to shave it off lol). The Good News razors have 2 blades which is fine. I don't need a 6 bladed razor. :-)

I use the Norelco rotary....I've tried them all and just love the Norelco. I am not a fan of the mess of blades and shaving cream. Ever tried dollar shave club? I haven't since I don't care for blades. RSMF
@RC627 жыл бұрын
Pop loved the Norelcos too. He had one since the early 70's. I had one too but never did get the hang of it. Just irritated my face and neck and left a bunch of missed stubble. I looked at the Dollar shave club but saw some bad reviews. I prefer the Good News razors. They are cheap and work great.

I use the Gillette Turbo. Don't shave every day. Maybe twice a week. The beard covers most of my face.
@RC627 жыл бұрын
I do like some of Gillette's "better" blades but the Good News works good and rarely nicks me. And they are reasonably cheap. I usually wear a mustache and goatee and only shave about twice a week too. Sometimes I skip one of those and go for a week before it gets too scruffy looking. Eventually I'll stop using the One Blade except when I need to cut off the goatee and mustache. It works OK for a shave but still doesn't match a real razor blade.
@GingeRbiker827 жыл бұрын
I'm in beard mode and use a Philips trimmer that picks/sucks up most of the trimmings so I don't get told off about the mess lol

Gillette Match 3 Sensitive skin... try all electric... nope .. might take a look at that
@RC627 жыл бұрын
Coming from the Mach 3 you probably won't like the One Blade for a full shave. It may irritate your skin too much. The Mach 3 is nice and smooth but I found them an unnecessary expense as the Good News razors are cheaper and work fine for me.

Gillette Mach 3, the best a man can get!
@RC627 жыл бұрын
I've used them and they are a step up from the Good News razors. Just couldn't see paying the price difference when the Good News works just fine for me. The Mach 3 is a bit smoother though. :D
