I have a head canon that neurodivergence kinda... runs in the family?? Like all of the brothers have some sort of diagnosis for mental illness (Sans has depression and possibly a dissociative disorder due to trauma from the Genocide routes, Gaster has anxiety and/or ADHD and Papyrus has ADHD and/or autism). I imagine Papyrus was diagnosed rather early on, and because of that had gotten the correct medication/education for his neurodivergence when he was really young, making him appear more neurotypical than his family.
