Even in serious moments he's cracking jokes and seems like he isn't taking it seriously but there are moments through the series (including this one. @@avapickard2406 One of my favorite moments of exactly what you are talking about is in the Yin/Yang episode where Jules is tied to the clock tower and Shawn says to Gus the only way he knows he can go save Abigail is knowing someone will do anything to save Jules and he entrusts Gus to do so. That moment hits me every time I see it. Brothers for life!

It's so sweet how Gus wants to make sure that Shawn doesn't die thinking that he blamed him or was angry at him. He wanted their final moments to be without regret and for such a goofy show they probably had the strongest friendship I've ever seen
