I have prayed many prayers before actually coming to know Christ personally, that didn't get answered but some did. It took me awhile to fully understand the why. For one, I was praying just to get a blessing because I knew God's blessed other's before. They weren't for the right reason's though, more so my own personal gain, sadly. Once I started really full heart in prayers, like to get to know who God is and to know His heart, that's when God started to really move in my life and my prayers were being answered. I had to be honest, open, and present.. listening instead of just talking. Gosh, I fell in love with God after that!! He heard my prayers before but He wanted my heart, He wanted a relationship with me.. as I do Him!! I haven't actually heard His voice as of now, He's showed me answers thru His word.. and thru other's. But I'm not giving up on hearing His voice.

YES! And created 'in His image' means so much more than we realize. He created EVERYONE to be a son: He told Adam to be fruitful and multiply; He told Mosses someday I'm going to fill the whole earth with my glory (my sons). That gives US created value: we were predestined to be sons of God. That is why He loves us so much; not because we have 2 hands, two eyes, a mouth; or a conscience; or spirit soul body; whichever 'his image' defines, but rather because each seed brings forth after its own kind. Seeds, animals, even emotions bear fruit; God brought forth after his own kind a son, created in his image.

I agree that all of us have the ability, the authority, if you will, to pray and have our prayers answer, through the Blood of Jesus. I also believe that we should live a life that is pleasing to God! If we harbor iniquity in our heart, our prayer will not go anywhere.

For me, ... IT was a touch, a feeling, came to my deepest urning, and I knew, that I was't Alone, and that HE DID, Hear me, that I Came to the "Realization", that GOD, ... IS. There is a NAGGING, ... that leaves your Spirit. You have a REASON, to find A Way, TO Keep Him, close. And Every step, every decision, IS A LESSON. You KNOW, when your Questions, are Quickly Answered. ALL that matters, ... is doing what pleases HIM, ... When You know, HIM ... HE causes,, you to SEE,, what is Written in the Bible, Come ALIVE, over a short, period of time, ... POINT BLANK ... NO IFS, ANDS, OR BUTS ABOUT IT ... There's Only ONE OPTION LEFT, .=. TRUST & BELIEVE IN, HIS WORD, AND HIS RIGHTEOUSNESS, WILL follow, ... in us.

8:30 "it seems like when people care more somehow the prayer has a bigger impact." ii Corinthians 10 Paul talks about the measure that God has given to him; i.e. those he had won, and those whom (they, his converts) had won. Everyone has a measure given them by God, family, co-workers, and friends are your measure, your sphere of influence; in another place Paul says "I hold you in my heart..." Hence why the devil tries so hard to break relationships. Those outside of your love realm, those whom you do not hold dear, do not get the prayer they otherwise would.

I thought that all you had to do was ask, but my mistake…..I guess my dad a retired minister, who prayed and believed he was going to walk out of the Hospital was just out of luck, and God didn’t heal him…..God heals those he wants to heal folks!! He only answers prayers for those who do it a certain way. God is more like…”well you didn’t ask a certain way, so Im going to allow you to die.”…

I feel this way too. I’ve cried out for years asking for help to get a great job, financial relief, etc and God has left me to deal with it on my own evrytime. I worked menial roles with no promotion but have watched many, even less experienced amd nonbelievers at that, be promoted. I feel bitter towards God and just aired this out to Him. No answer, of course.

REMEMBER the only way to repent and be saved by Christ acts 11:14-18, Luke 11:9-13 , Zeph 3:9/ Acts 2:4 and Heb 12:23 Just follow only the original gospel tradition teaching not different churches but Jesus will guide and teach you to the end. John 10:1-6, 11-16, Acts 4:12 and 1 John 2:24-25!
