It's not power he needs, its sincerity . I like the softness. Elvis had that and Elvis didn't give attention to vibrato as it came naturally as an after thought. Elvis was in to the meaning. The sound is off too. The sound guys need to wake up!

He still sounded great, I just know Shawn's voice is stronger than that. He came back pretty strong on the second one, though & he is looking great!! Can't wait to see him in December.

Just started watchinig some of Shawn Klush video's. He does resemble Elvis much more than others. I can't say I like hi voice that much. He seems to try toooo hard. Elvis sang and performed easily and naturally becasue he was gifted. Shawn is good but will hold anymore judegement til I see more of his videos.

Michael Pass Yes, he is always touring. That is his job. He is not always pointing at his throat. He has never done that at any show I have ever been to and he has never missed a note, either. He obviously had a cold or something here. Every show I have been to his voice is strong and he is right on top of every move. He also looks like he has lost about 25 lbs. since I last saw him a few months ago; even in the jumpsuits from the pictures & video I have seen from Sat night show. Shawn is phenomenal in concert and even though there are about 5 or 6 other ETA's who are great at 50's/60's Elvis there is NO ONE else who can do 70's Elvis better than Shawn. NO ONE. Even on his worst day he is a billion times better than anyone else. He hasn't "lost" anything. Others just immitate Elvis; Shawn becomes Elvis. No one else can take you over that line. You don't have to like him, but if you don't remember millions of others do. Be respectful of his enormous talent and of his fans. Move on to someone else's videos.

Say what you will about his voice, weight, age, etc...but "studying the man" still occupies his time and continues to fascinate. I've never met anyone (ETAs included) who knows as much about Elvis than Shawn. He's an encyclopedia of EP facts. Outside of that, airplanes and travel take their toll on sinuses and voices, so let's keep that in mind when he has an "off" day at the office.

You are correct, however in staing traveling, etc will mess with his voice,sinuses, etc. He is human and probably had a cold or something. We all know what amazing performances the man is capable of. He works his butt off to give back to the fans and I dispise these trolls who want to constantly put him down. There are many ETA's. No one is as good as Shawn & 98% of them are horridly nauseating or borderline comical. They probably make Elvis roll over in his grave. I think if someone doesn't care for Shawn they need to stay off his videos and keep their comments to themselves. I just watched a clip from Shawn's Mohegan Sun show Saturday night. He was doing Polk Salad Annie. He was right on top of his game! Looked great, sounded great, danced great! I have loved Elvis my whole life. I would not accept anyone immitating him, mostly because the few I had tried to watch were so horrible. I felt it was an insult to him and could never be done well. Then I discovered Shawn. He caught me quite off guard and had me in about the first 30 seconds of watching him.I still don't know how he does it, I just know he is amazing on stage. Even the few who are any good I am always aware they are impersonating Elvis, but Shawn becomes Elvis and it never ceases to take my breath away. Maybe some folks just can't accept that he is so good. I'm not sure what their problem is, I just know he deseerves the utmost respect as a performer and all that he accomplishes and he is also a really sweet, humble man. The haters need to go.

I often come to Shawn's defense (as a friend) but ultimately, there's nothing you can do with people who want to criticize him or any other ETA. Everyone has their favorite and will express it and that's just the way it is. We know (think) he's the best so we will continue to enjoy the effort he puts out. If people wanna whine, don't let it rub you the wrong way. Some people like Chevy, others like Ford. I like Buicks but I'm not gonna try and convince the Ford guys, y'know?

No one seems to be worried about some of the other ETA's weight. There are a couple who.look pregnant. I am not going to name them, though. They alsosound nothing like Elvis. Shawn gained a bit if weight. He has actually lost some of it here and he had a sore throat. Go watch to his stuff from a few weeks ago at Mohegan Sun. He sounds great, looks great and is dancing and doing all his Elvis moves in top form. He is a human being and not perfect just like Elvis. About him being a jerk? Shawn Klush? Um, no. I have talked to him several times, gotten pictures, even got to talk to him out of Elvis mode when I was in the same hotel as he & the band last year. He was very sweet, humble, funny and generois with his time. I would be the first person to say so if he wasn't and I damn sure would not travel out of state and spend money I really can't afford to spend if he was rude or arrogant or disrespectful to fans or to Elvis' memory. He is phenomenal on stage and a sweetheart of a guy. If you don't like him; move on and stop being rude to him. He deserves much respect and so do his fans.

But his singing technique has never been great and over time it is getting worse.
