Thank You, Father!!!! Thank You for saving us. Drug addicts, prostitutes, outcasts, and castaways; You call us Yours! We love You. You are the only One who can take away the darkness in our lives and give us light. You are the only One who can take out ALL the sicknesses from our bodies and minds and give us healing and clarity. You touched my mind, You healed my body, You call me Yours and I belong with You. Thank You.

I really Love your Love for our father! There is nothing more important than having a personal and intimate relationship with our Lord. And there is no better way to express that gratitude then by worship. I also play guitar and sing to the Lord. Its our way of worship and fellowship. God Bless you Shawn for seeing first the kingdom.

True Christianity is not organized religion, it's a group of many people who all share one commonality: recognizing the truth of God and the Bible on their own individual journeys through life, trusting God, desiring to live righteously, and sharing Christ and His love with others. It's all about TRUE love.

God loves you. God's love is never hateful. When you focus on God and grow closer to Him, you recognize that the hate in the world is no where near greater than God's love

I can't believe that I can relate to something that is not black/death or heavy metal. I have made it BARELY in this life. I say "I just want to be closer to you" everyday in my mind and keep going with the flow. Nothing changes. I hope that He pulls me out of me soon.

There is NOTHING we can do to be what we think He wants ... except to acknowledge WHO He is and accept the great need we have for Him ... EVERYTHING else He has done! Just keep calling to/on Him and as He leads us and strips off the things of the world that we don't need, every thing, one day at a time, will change and He will get us to where He wants us to be ... IF we allow Him and follow His lead. On our own ... we are ALL dead already.

@vwbr3nt he's playing the top two strings only. you need to bring out the top string. yes, it sounds different because of the different guitars and recording quality, but it is the right tuning, or close enough to it.
@jeremyhooks244 жыл бұрын
The tuning you suggested sounds spot on. Do you know what he's playing on the second and third fret when he's playing the chorus at the part where he says, "want" I can't really make it out.

I know what you mean. God is working on each an everyone of us. He says “For I know the plans I have for you, declares the LORD, plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.”

It's all about being close to god :) If not that why even be on earth if your not here with god. He is the one who made this earth and did everything good to it. Somtimes it can be not no good, but that's the devil just breaking into your life.
@hannakline64412 жыл бұрын
@ijfish1 I hear you. But maybe if you want stuff to change, you gotta be the change. God will meet you where you are in your life, even if its barley hanging on by a string. But your right for wanting to change, but are you doing things TO change your circumstance? I've learned that i gotta be the change to make it happn.:) God bless ya.

Jonathan Garcia: It is good to understand what the text in context as much as possible (who it was to, the original meanings, events at the time), but it is also important to remember that God's word is a living word. He is a God of the living not the dead, and His words apply to all His children.

TrueChick tori that passage that you quoted from Jeremiah 29:11 about prosperity is not for us to claim. It was for the tribe if Judah who were in exile for 70 years by God who were under Nebuchadnezzar because of their worship of other gods (idols) and you can see that in Jeremiah 25:1-11 and so on all the way till you get to Ch.29:11. That promise was specifically for tribe of judah. God is talking to them in that passage not us. Christians were not even around then.
@anonymousanonymous13148 жыл бұрын
Careful. You're closing in on a good point, don't get me wrong. Christians weren't around because Christ hadn't come yet. It's not as if there is now some new religion. The people of God just received a new title, that's all. What needs to be understood is that God has not changed in any way. Jeremiah 29:11 was given to Judah, but the same God who spoke to them speaks to us through it. The same slaughter that God is speaking of in 29:11 applies to us as well. The problem is that people misapply it and eliminate the slaughter from it to create their own version of the truth.
