I just have to say. I know that there was rumor that Shawn left the VMAs very disappointed and down on himself, and I just have to say he's the BEST. And I mean BEST. Life performer there is. This song is very different from his normal songs and obviously very difficult on his voice, anyone can see that. So l must say that Shawn absolutely killed it, especially when he went out of his comfort zone with that high note at the end. Very, very proud.💗🤘🏼

I'm scared that he thinks that he didn't do it good enough.. Shawn is so smart and amazing and is my favorite person ever but anyways for all the people saying that his voice is going lost, this song is not easy to perform with someone as amazing as Shawn trying harder than ever. U can see all the diff things he does here with the extra loud hard voice and also he may have just been super nervous. He was. But I loved it. It was perfect. The whole thing. From the high notes to the voice cracks. The real fans in the Mendes Army would understand this whole performance and it's flaws if it had any. But it doesn't. It's perfect. U try being 19 yrs old performing at the VMAs with a song like that. It's hard. But he nailed it. He always will. And if he decided to take a break ever..yes we would miss him.and cry. But we will understand at the same damn time. And we will love him despite his flaws and imperfections. Its what a real fan would do right?
