For everyone asking, allow me to clarify a few things. 1) He was not sick. It's called grit. Rasp. Passion. These are gravelly songs. If you don't like music with a that gritty rock vibe, don't listen to it. He sang the songs exactly how they should be sung. Yes, there were a couple voice cracks in there. It happens. Music shouldn't have to conform to perfection. 2) The guitar playing is not fake. He's the one playing the main chords of the song. The guitar doesn't have a cable because it's wireless. See the little thing sticking out of his guitar. It's a plug adapter. Guitarists don't want to be restricted by a cable when they play so wireless technology comes in handy. Go watch a video of Coldplay performing 'Talk' live at the EMA's all the way back in 2005. Notice how the guitarist Jonny Buckland is moving around with no cable. Same thing. Wireless technology. 3) Shawn Mendes is a fantastic musician. This performance was great.

Shawn is his own biggest critic. No matter if the comments are positive or negative, he'll watch this until he's picked out all the mistakes to make his next performance 100 times better. He's been working non-stop for two years and he was sick, yet he still showed up and gave it his best, whereas 99% of celebrities cancel events when their feet hurt. So no, rudeness and jealousy concealed as "constructive criticism" won't make anyone feel better. Especially when he reads that because of ONE performance, some people consider him a bad vocalist and shitty musician. Shawn Mendes is incredibly talented. Even though Shawn's voice cracks, his health isn't too good at that time. His voice is still so great. Jacob Sartorius' voice has lots of crack in it, even though he's not sick. I can't understand why people let him sing, learn from Greyson Chance's when he's still young. Gosh.
