@@redrick8900 Ha. That sounds like a petty comment. There's no denying that she shattered glass ceilings, kicked down doors and broke gender barriers. If she barely put anyone over in the women's division (except Lita; who she had a lot of respect for) is because there weren't anyone capable of give her a run for her money. She wanted to wrestle women but the roster at the time were lackluster. Lita and Molly Holly were the ones that gave her a little battle. Ivory had a great feud with her but with the help of her stable. Besides that, nope. Trish was green AF and Victoria, Jazz and Gail Kim would come after Chyna left. So there's no reason to shit on her legacy when she clearly was one of a kind. She was not the best wrestler but she was talented. She got the moves and the powerhouse. So please be respectful.

She blew me a kiss at the event in Boston, the night before Wrestlemania 14, and have it on video as well. Attractive as a lady can be, but in person such a sweetheart who spoke gently and was always willing to do a photo op with fans. RIP Joanie, I'll never forget you.

I knew Joanie. We grew up together in Rochester, NY. We're the same age. She was an amazing talent and an amazing person who unfortunately got into some substances that were incredibly damaging to her mind and her body. And, yes, she was gorgeous before she got into those substances.

Probably not a good combination. Shawn was heavily into drugs during that time in his life and was only getting worse on drugs through 1998 and the few years that followed before he finally got clean. Joanie in the end struggled with drugs even though she had prescriptions for everything that was found in her apartment at the time of her death. Joanie may have never went down the drug path if they weren't so abundant in pro wrestling. And being around Shawn at the time, would make things tough because he was using so steadily. A fascinating "what if" scenario, but one I think that was probably a bad pairing. Same thing when people say what if Shawn and Sunny actually got married when he proposed to her in 1997.
